Hope everyone had a wonderful Thursday...Since I had to work Sunday, Austin treated me to Panda Express Wednesday. It was my Mother's Day dinner. It's so nice spending time with him. We were gone all afternoon, so I didn't get to spend much time with Lightning and Star... I let them out of the corral yesterday and, of course, they headed for the hay. It tastes best when it's forbidden. Rick ran them away from it, and Lightning got an attitude. When Rick went up to him, he took off galloping. That became a game. Lightning would wait for Rick to get close and then he'd take off galloping with his tail raised. That went on for a while. Rick was enjoying it, too. When Lightning finally went into the corral, he let Rick hug him. Poor Star. She was galloping, too. I don't know if she understood the game, but she ran when Lightning did. So fun to watch. And so beautiful! In the sun, Lightning's coat shines and reminds me of a goldfish. Then he rolls like Toby and the shine disappears... It was, also, my oldest son's 34th birthday. I miss him, but I'm so proud that he's devoted his life to the service of this great country. Love and a vote!
