How are you doing? This week Eddie's and Prince's owner will be gone so we get to ride some extra in order for them to get enough exercise. Sounds good to me and I hope to try Jewel again and her amazing trot. Her photos are on Pippin's page. Sorry for the mistake. She's a very pretty grey percheron mare.

Well, Pippin's cart gets a lot of use and it sure looks like it. Very bent in places and worn. I was riding in it a few days ago and we were coming out of the forest onto the road. I discovered too late that the road had been scraped and that there was a big bump from the forest onto it. Well, I went up in the air and landed on the seat with a bump. Well, not a bump but a crunch. The seat broke. :( So, now I have to fix it. At least I can say that cart gets lots of use.

So, yesterday I exercised both Pippin and Melian by taking them out for a nice bike ride. It was perfect. Not too hot. Sunshine streaming through a few clouds. The wild lilacs in full bloom and smelling so wonderful. When suddenly, thud!

Pippin spooked at a parked trailer. First he slowed down. I urged him past and he bolted. Instead of letting go of him I made the mistake of trying to hold on. I didn't want to land on Melian so instead I dived face first onto the road. Ouch! My chin and the side of my face took the full brunt of the impact.

Now I look a bit like Frankenstein's monster. Luckily I was wearing a helmet and sunglasses because they are all scraped up. Rather them than my scalp. So, now I have two holes in my chin and scraped face, hands, and knee.

So, that was my Sunday. How was yours? Melian and Pippin are fine and completely unscathed. I'm glad that they didn't suffer a scare. They were both fine when I got back on. Hehe, my bike is going to start looking like my cart soon.

Well, here's a vote for you and I hope you have a great week. ttyl
