How are you doing? Pippin is looking really great now. He's his true colour again. No more blue roan and he's so shiny and in really good shape. I finally started training him yesterday for the first steps of dressage. He did really well with lunging even though I haven't done it in months. Obeyed every command and had no problem with the elastic side reins and surcingle.

He's smart enough to learn this quickly. Now if only I could be smart enough to teach him to his advantage. Fortunately for me he's pretty flexible and I don't have to be perfect. Wish me time and luck.

Jewel has an abscess in her mouth which explains why she was fighting the bit. We thought that there might be something wrong so we had the vet check her out and her teeth were too long and had grown into the opposite gum. I hope to be able to ride her in about a week.

Last time I rode, 4th time ever, she had already picked up the halt command. I sat deep in the saddle and didn't need to pull the reins. Boy, she picks up quickly. What a smart girl. Too bad I can't keep her.

I'm going to add her to Eddie's page. Even though she and Prince are in love I decided to keep the Percherons together. It's funny, she and Prince hated each other for about a week and kept biting and kicking through the fence. Now they don't like to be apart. Maybe it was just dangerous flirting. Who knows?

Anyway, all's fine here. Beautiful weather and cool nights. What's it like there?

Here's a vote for you and I hope you're having a great weekend.
