This weekend ended too soon. Monday morning brings this vote to you:)
I rode Fancy around the block each day. She seems to really love going out and has learned to take us to the spots where she likes grazing. But if I tell her to walk on she does.
Sunday afternoon we walked around the block then we visited the horses on the street over from us. We hung around there for a while talking to the family there. They were totally shocked to see me riding her without having had anyone train her for me. I thought Fancy wanted to graze there so I removed her bridle, but she kept walking circles and looking around. She kept looking at the other horses. I thought she would continue this when it was time to go. When I mounted her she was well behaved and she didn't walk circles when I was on her. I appreciated her behaving:)
We made it home Sunday just before the storm hit. It was a short ride but it lasted a while because we visited:)
The only thing about riding Fancy is sometimes she really does get in a hurry. I keep slowing her down. She doesn't appear to be afraid when she does this. Probably does feel good to stretch her legs. She is a very busy body in her corral. I guess she is happy to have something to do out of the corral.
I also have another activity for now. Saturday evening, we started training a friend's horse for pulling a wagon. We worked with getting him ok with the bridle and harness. He was so good with this we moved onto him being ground driven. Then we pulled an old tire beside him. At first he was afraid of the noise it made. But he got over that quickly and easily. Next thing he was walking past it with no fear. We were going to work with him Sunday but a storm came up.

We love our mule friends too:)
