Thanks for the visit! Sry it took me so long to get back to you. Summer camp sounded like quite an adventure!! Lol. I always wanted to go to a riding camp when I was younger. Actually, I still do. I think six weeks away from home jumping x country courses on a horse that I pick out of a barn of 100 would make for such an amazing summer. wow. Living with other teenage horse freaks like myself... Riding every day, getting intense intsructing and competing like crazy at an awesome facility... and of course cutting loose on the trails with horse and friends...that would be such a dream. :)Imagine the tan you'd get riding outside 6 hours a day, every day. ahhhhhh...But my gosh they are expensive!! The cheapest one I've ever found was like 850 for two weeks. :p But anyways, I think it'd be fun to be a counselor for little kids. :)Next best thing right?

So Jaz has been lame with an abcess in her near hind for like the past three months, but a couple weeks ago it FINALLY burst! So that was really good. And now she's not limping anymore, but I can still tell it is rough at a trot, and she rarely rests the off. But still, the good news is I'm on her back again! I'm teaching her to rear on command, but it's not going so wonderfully. It only took me a couple seconds to get her to go up, and then she did it again right away. But then she thought that was what was making me happy, so with me clinging precariously she kept doing these huge, extravagant rears, and i almost fell off. It was terrible, but then I got her moving forward. Still, I don't know wht i did wrong but it really freaked me out. When I was researching it online, I read that sometimes the horse will think it's appropriate to do it whenever it wants, but you just have to teach them that rearing is BAD unless you specifically ask for it. I'm not sure if my command is bad.... I'm using a neck strap and telling her the word "rear". . .Any ideas?
By the way, i'm adding Ditto to my horse stable, and you can add Jaz to yours if you want. :D
K well i gotta go but hey i left a vote! visit again soon!
