Hi everyone…Joey & the girls here. Erin is busy with family...
I chose Three Bars for this blog since my first horse had Three bars on his papers.
Without a shadow of a doubt, Three Bars (TB) has had the greatest impact on the Quarter horse breed of any horse in history. Some might dispute this statement, but not very many. Just take a look at Three Bars’ record as a sire. Whereas most great stallions dominate just one phase of the industry, Three Bars forever left his mark in racing, halter, cutting, and other arena performance events. In racing, a few of his superstar offspring included Goldseeker Bars, Mr. Bar None, Sugar Bars and many more. Three Bars sired 317 foals who earned their ROM in racing, and 38 who earned Superior. When his Daughter Lena’s bar (TB) was bred to Jet Deck the resulting foal was the phenomenal Easy Jet. Halter included Steel Bars, and Aledo Bar, the 1959 AQHA halter high- point stallion. In reining there was Sugar Bars, and Par Three, who sired the great Zan Parr Bars. The dam of Three Bars was Myrtle Dee, a speedburner who once set a record for 5 ½ furlongs at an Ohio track. It was said “he was the fastest thing I had put a bridle on” Thanks to all for your support…Joey, Erin,Quincy & the girls
