it took a long time with bailey for her to figure it out - she would get the front lead but not the back. I work alot on circles - start one way and push her the other to make her switch - she will prob start out just switchin the front but the more times u do it the easier it will be and then she will get the back - some get it really easy some do not - another trick is to try to canter over a small cavaletti on one lead and land going the other way on the other lead - she will get used to doing it and then you can take away the cavaletti - just shift ur weight over and push with the other leg - its takes a while for them to figure it out but they will - hope this helps some tell me how it goes and if i can help any
