Welcome to HC. Thank you for the kind words for our Gypsy Horses. The hair really isn't hard to care for at all. Our horses are allowed to be "HORSES" if they aren't in a show or going somewhere to look pretty, they are regular happy pasture horses. Yep they get to have wind knots and manure spots and burrs (those we never like), they get to roll in whatever it is they lay in at the time also. The feather, mane and tail of these horses is easy to manage, use light amounts of combing. You can wash and condition the hair of the mane and tail, as you would normally do and then comb and if you want you can braid it up or let it flow natural. The feathers of course, you just wash, condition and let dry. The beauty of the hair is wonderful. The Gypsy people prided themselves on the quantity of hair their horses could or would produce or pass on, they NEVER would think of clipping the hair, as that was thought to bring them BAD LUCK, who needs bad luck. So leaving the hair long and luscious was an added bonus to this horse. When you have a Gypsy Horse the correct conformation is most important along with the breeding stock you choose, then of course is color. The most typical or recognized color of the Gypsy Horse is the Black & White, Red & White, Bay & White (Pinto marked or Solid) then they would lastly consider the other colors.
I know I probably went off on a info streak you really didn't want, but I really love these horses and want anyone who thinks they would like to one day own one or just know about them, I love to help educate where I can.
Yes we have 3 in-utero foals that will be for sale this spring/summer and we will work with the buyer(s) with payment plans.
You can go to our website www.creeksidegypsy.com and see the girls and boys, the girls were all bred to Rocket for this foal season.

Thank you and hope I didn't blow you away with too much info!
Pam
