Hope you are feeling better Mo. Sometimes it takes time for the pecking order to be established when a new one is introduced to the established herd but they usually work things out. If you have a lead mare that is violent enough to kill though that is a special problem. Do you have a way of putting them in separate pastures where they share a fence line until they get used to each other. Maybe take one or two of the others over to Mo's pasture and leave the mare with a couple of her friends and switch the friends out until everyone can get along. Sometimes there is one that just won't tolerate another - if that is the way this mare is, you may never get to have Mo in with her. I will pray for my new friend Mo and hope things will work out . Love Shybang
