How are you doing? It is great to hear from you again! I love all your new photos. They are new, aren't they? How amazing that you and Blossom can now jump 3 feet. Jumpins is so much fun, isn't it?

Is it hot there or still cold? Last week we had several nights of frost and they killed our vegetable garden. I still had some plants inside so I've now planted them and the slugs and squirrels are working hard at destroying all of them too. I'm beginning to think that perhaps we're not supposed to have a garden this year!

Pippin gave me a good scare on Saturday. We got a phone call from someone asking if our horse was on the highway. I thought to myself, "Well, of course not. Pippin's tethered on the lawn for his afternoon munch." So, I went out to make sure, and the rope had come loose. No horse in sight!

Pippin NEVER goes to the highway and that day was our valley's annual yard sale. The traffic was crazy (for our area) and he not only went down to the highway but had crossed it a couple of times almost getting hit. Someone had kindly stopped and was keeping an eye on him. They were quite relieved to see me coming because they had no idea to whom he belonged. Pippin looked up placidly and then went back to munching on the nice fresh grass.

Yikes, that is NOT happening again! I wonder if he heard all the commotion and wanted to investigate. He loves new things and lots of people and noise.

On a lighter note, I took Prince driving again last week. A couple of friends rode with me and Melian ran alongside. It was SO much fun. I think that I like driving almost as much as riding. It's yet another way to enjoy a horse. Of course, I enjoy driving Pippin all the time but it's not quite as powerful as having a big draught horse going at full gallop.

Prince galloped through the mud and puddles and we were a right mess! Mud splattered on our faces and all over our clothes. I was filming with my little pocket camera but I had to cover it every time we splashed through a puddle. I uploaded it but it's not yet showing. In the meantime I posted some photos of Prince in harness on his page. Eddie has a new photo too.

So, how is everything there? Any good horsey time? I hope you had a great weekend and no scares like mine. Here's a vote for you.

P.S. If you're interested, check out my latest Melian video. It is called, "Melian: Speeding Saluki." It's on YouTube and the Dog Channel.
