Holly Caccamise, Senior Associate Editor
Holly Caccamise was born outside of Boston, Mass., and began taking riding lessons at age 9. When she was 10 years old, her parents relocated to Northern California. There she continued her dedication to riding lessons, eventually leasing a horse at an eventing barn, which was where her life-long passion for eventing began. After college, she moved to Lexington, Ky.—“the horse capital of the world”—to get her Master’s degree in equine nutrition. She worked as a professional groom and Thoroughbred Times advertising copywriter before coming to work for Horse Illustrated, a magazine she has read and admired since her early days with horses. She currently events with her Appaloosa/Thoroughbred.
