Hi! I really hope we can get HOTD. I think we can do it though. I rode Crystal today and she was so dirty! She had rolled in wet mud right before we got there so it was all wet. I had to walk her around outside so it would dry before I could curry her. My friend and her brothers came too. One of her brothers I think he is almost 7 and he kept forgetting Crystals name and calling her Diamond. He was wearing cowboy boots and a bandana. (even though I ride english!) We couldn't work her too hard because she just had her hooves trimmed. We did a little with a saddle but then we went bareback. It was really fun. (and muddy) =) Left a vote! Hi! Thanks for the advice! My friend has clip-on reigns that you just clip to the halter!!! Maybe I'll try those? Crystal has been much better though. Her real owner has only ridden her about once a month for 4 years because she is scared of her. I think it is really sad that such an amazing horse was going to waste. She comes to the barn once a week and longes or works on showmanship but usually doesn't ride. I have been riding 3 or 4 times a week which has been great for us both. Hi! My friend and I got to ride Crystal today! It was so much fun! I was wondering if you have ant ideas on a little problem Crystal has. She is fine with this on the longe line or when someones leading her. but if your riding her she doesn't listen. Once she starts trottong she hates to slow down! It doesn't matter what you do she will just keep going! With her you have to use voice commands rather than your hands. If I try to pull a little on the reigns she will just jerk her head up and get mad. If I try saying "walk" and sit really deep in the saddle she doesn't really care. I think I will try having my friend (the one with Noble Signature) help me. She is a very good rider so I think I will have her riding Crystal and me with the lead rope. As soon as she says walk I will make her walk. Another problem she has is if anyone is in sight she will try to run to them because she wants to stop riding and go be brushed. Do you have any ideas? He is a doll. Saw your comment on another blog. I volunteered at a Therapeutic Riding Center and they had a couple of Fjords, what a wonderful breed, calm, sweet and beautiful! Glad you got a horse that suits you just right. Sounds like you two are a great match!

HE IS BEAUTIFUL
Hi TRITAN!! You are a magnificent boy in body and soul! So happy you have someone who loves you so much and rides you naturally. I am trying to get my tobiano paint mare to go bitless, i know she would love it especially since I just had her teeth floated. I used to ride bareback ll the time with my first mare in the USA. That was a while back and she was so easy going! I live in France now and my mare is a great girl but she had former owners who did not train her very well. She accepts saddles, snaffle bits but I am sure she would be great bareback. I use a light weight McClellan saddle, are you familiar with them? I just got my first Parelli DVD and hope to start making a change in the spring.
