How We Met

Well when I was 11 years old, I was at home alone with my sister on Christmas break and it was a few weeks before my birthday. My mom called and said that someone from her work has a friend that has been trying to sell a 5 year old horse for about 6 months and can't sell him. We pulled up in his driveway and i got out standing almost 5 feet tall and the owner of Vinnie at the time looked me up and down and looked at my parents and said "I don't think she is going to be able to handle this horse..he is extremely hot blooded and doesn't like new people or kids" I told him to let me try anyway. We walked to where he was tied up and I marched right up to him and pet his shoulder and i went up to his head and he put his head down in my chest and the guy couldn't believe it so I got my brushes out and brushed him and then I got the hoof pick and the seller was telling me that's not such a good idea, but i picked up his feet just fine and picked his hooves and the guy's mouth was hanging open, he saddled the big horse up for me in a western saddle and i got on just fine and i warmed him up and then I decided it was time to canter. So I did and the guy told me to be careful and make sure to use gentle aids because he is sensitive and when I was done I jumped off and asked what his name was and he said Vinnie and I hugged Vinnie's neck and walked up to him and said I love this horse I want him. So my parents bought my first horse for my 12th birthday and it was love at first sight. He IS a challenge though. To this day he is still the crazy horse that only I can ride =].
