How We Met

Well, my mom found her at Y Not Ranch. She was a Christmas present for me before we got Buck in January. She managed to keep it a secret for a LONG time! I had been riding since I was 5 or 6, and she knew I really wanted a horse of my own, so I was super happy when she surprised me! When we sold her a year after we had had her, and the people were just down the street. Her new owners (which are INCREDIBLY nice) had the same farrier as we did. I think it had been about a month since we had sold her when we got word from him that they (along with Wave and Starman, their other horse)had moved to Tennessee )or North Carolina I can't remember which). I immediately started crying, because my mom and I were going to try to visit her sometime in the upcoming year since they were so nearby. I was very sad, but I have a picture of her in my room so she will never be forgotten! =) (the pictures below are really old...I was probably 9. She was fun to ride, but she didn't like when you squeezed her to go faster.) We actually just found out today that the owners moved to South Carolina and they bred WavE!!!!!! We were sooo happy to hear from her new owners. My mom and I were at our local feed store getting shavings for Bucky's stall and apparently her owners whoused to live quite close before they moved were down visiting family for the holidays. We were just picking up three bags of wood shavings when he was getting hay probably for his relatives' horses or something...he recognized us and told us that Wave had had a beautiful cremello colt!!!!!!!!!! We're hoping that he and his wife can email us some pics of her and her colt!.
