Daily Blog--News on the baby!
I got some pictures of the baby on here, I still do not have a name :). Anyways, I put them at the bottom of Zorro's page! They are not the best, but hey, I have only had like 24 hours to take pictures so far. For those of you who do not know he was born early morning on Feb 16th. He is a BIG boy, those pictures are from 1 day old. Anyways, so I have been spending every spare moment of my time with him! Quick tip/reminder-a mare must be dewormed within 24 hours of giving birth because the hormones given off from birthing causes a activation of the worms and if not cared for properly can lead to tissue damage, stunting of growth, joint damage, or even death of the foal! Well, as soon as I get some really good pictures of him, I will post them on Zorro's page too, I do not want to put up a page for him yet, because I have not decided if I am going to buy him, or another foal yet. Sorry I have to be quick today, but I am buisy! Plus I just had a mare boarded at my barn foal last night!!!! She had a cute little palomino boy. Exciting!!! The same breeder also had a baby born on Valentines day, but that one he is keeping at his place, I went over to see it on both saturday and sunday! Well, I rode the horses this weekend (western), trying out that saddle, everything went very well, nothing super big happened. Zorro remembered how to do his WP jog on the loose rein after doing english for a long time. That is about it, I will maybe post some pics of the baby on Zorro's page, if the breeder is ok with that later this week. Please keep voting for Zorro! --AmberCome visit me, Zorro.

Hi!
I guess Zorro was my mom's idea, and I also got a weanling named Zena the same year and Zorro and Zena seemed to go togther niceley :)! Saturday’s update! Today I worked with Zorro and Kai. It was much colder to day, the low 20s and a little breezy, but for a native Minnesotan, it feels nice still! So I ground drove Kai with the western saddle, I think it was a first with the western saddle, I usually use a surcingle and sometimes the English saddle. She was amazing and had her sweet personality! I rode Zorro hunt seat, he was pretty good, a little funny about his headset at first, but got over it, so today went pretty well in the end. It was nice to be able to ride! I hope tomorrow is pretty nice too. I did wear a coat today when I rode, where yesterday I wore just a sweatshirt, so I am being sensible about the weather. Sunday’s update, it got to be around 35 degrees today, much better! I only rode Zorro though, because I had a bunch of studying and whatnot to do. I rode him Hunt Seat and he was very good for me, and did not even complain about working on the bit!!! Improvements being made everyday! It was a little slippery, but not too terribly bad, so I could canter, yippy! Hope everyone else is doing well, and able to ride if you have the same winter conditions as me! All of you in the south where it is over 60, you are just spoiled, JK! Hi and thanks for the vote. I agree with you ging fast on horses is really fun. Cheyenne is a really fast horse, but she is slightly lazy so it can a bit of work to get her at her top speed.
