Nicknames: Even though her registered name is Hollywood Bound H. Everyone calls her Gypsy. Before I bought her people just called her Holly.

Type of Riding: For shows I do western pleasure, barrels, pole bending and performance. At home we mess around with jumps and we enjoy trails a lot too.

My Horse's Achievements: I was proud of my horse before she ever achieved anything. But something that we achieved together was a first place ribbon at our first show (ever) in the spotted horse class. She's also a 3rd placer at our shows in pole bending.

My Horse's Favorite Treat: Bran Mash!!! She loves bran mash!

My Horse's Favorite Things To Do: She absolutly loves pole bending! She also likes jumping, barrels, showing in general and typical horse stuff like grazing and chasing the dogs.(Another thing she likes to do is weave. she could stand in her stall all day just weaving side to side.)

Pet Peeves: She is the pickiest eater in the history of time! The only hays she'll eat are alf alfa and oat hay. Everything else she refuses to eat.

How We Met

Well before I bought Gypsy I had never owned a horse. When I was 10 I started taking lessons on an Arabian, but switched over to Missouri Fox Trotters when I was 13. After 2 yrs of lessons with MFT's I stopped riding due to lack of money. But I still wanted to be around horses. so every Saturday morning I was at the barn at 9 am sharp, I was NEVER late. I couldn't ride so I cleaned stalls, groomed horses, let out horses to run, and lunged two of my favorite horses. I did everything for free and loved every moment of it. Finally when I was 15, almost 16, a horse came along that was cheaper than the others because she had a caterac in her right eye. She didn't really catch my attention until the ranch owner suggested that I buy her. I checked with my mom, but she wasn't sure if we could make it. The owner lowered the horses price $500 just so we could afford her. Her birthday is in May and mine in June, my mom bought her on her birthday for my birthday. She is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Before her I was a failing high school student. Now I am in college working hard to make my way in the world. She is 6 years old now and I look forward to a long and happy future with her..

Gypsy hi there!! well, i love your horse!! She is absolutely adorable.. i rode a MFT for the first time on sunday, and at first it was VERY akward.. but then i got the feel of just going with him [his name was Ben] and beforse i knew it we were having so much fun and we were galloping around the polo field. but i LOVE MFT. and now i want one. i think i will get one as MY ownt very first horse.. but right now i am half leasing a 6yo thoughroubred mare, Diana AKA "Dee" -Jessica ansd Dee Come visit me, Diana & Sunni Side up.	02/12/2007 08:41.13 PM	Report This Comment

Thanks for the comment on Caesar. No, I don't show him. He is for pleasure only. He only has 60 days under saddle and I am not very experienced, so we mostly just enjoy each other's company and ride a little bit in the pasture. Your horse is absolutley gorgeous! It's gonna be a long winter... I didn't arrive at the barn until after 4:30 om today and the water buckets were still frozen over. It rarely ever gets this cold in California so we're simply not prepared. I had to break throught the ice with my foot (with my boots on of course). I didn't have any water proof gloves either so I just about got frost bite taking out the chunks of ice. I gotta go early in the morning tommorrow to break the ice again. The stupid hose is froze too so I don't know what we're gonna do about that. Hopefully it warms up soon. Anyways I figured I would bring some hot water to the barn tommorrow to make some warm bran mash for my grl. I'm pretty sure she would enjoy that. Hey Everyone! This is my first blog on this website. I just wanted to say hi and if anyone wants to know more about me feel free to ask. I would be out riding right now, but it's freezing outside and I'm sick. :( I can't wait to feel better and get back out there riding around. i also can't wait till this wind dies down so I can go out and finish making my pole bending set! I haven't practiced poles in forever! I've been so deprived of my poles that I have been taking the barrels and lining them up. Btu it's just not the same. sigh Well I'll be back on here tommorrow to check out peoples horse profiles. So farewell for now!
