Did any one honor their dad with a father's day ride?
My husband had to work, so Sunday evening Cowboy & I took a ride through the woods & around the neighborhood. On the way home our neighbor was having a party so Cowboy and I rode home & attached the buddy seat to Fancy's saddle and back we went to ride children at the party. There was lots of giggling and squealing going on. Cowboy asked the girls which horse they liked best and the answer was Fancy. Cowboy told them that was because they had not ridden his horse.
We returned home & worked on riding both horses around the house and outbuilding in different directions to keep them tuned into the fact that they will be leaving one another on occasions. That was a good lesson.
Cowboy has tapped into a hidden talent in Trigger. He had Trigger running beside him and halt, just like in the shows. This little horse has some training under his belt. I sure am pleased with Trigger so far. And Little Cowboy is very happy with his little old horsey.
FANCY'S PERCEPTIONS, Cowboy Definitions:
1. Brand Artist - A rustler who alters brands with a running iron.
2. Brash - Brittle.
3. Breachy - A term applied to unruly oxen.
4. Bread Jerker - Adam's apple.
5. Brick in One’s Hat - To be drunk. That old man’s got one heck of a brick in his hat.
6. Brisk Up - To come up with life and speed, take an erect or bold attitude.
7. Broke in Two - A horse bucking.
8. Bronc Buster - A cowboy who could tame wild horses. Contrary to popular thinking, not all cowboys could ride just any horse, though most could ride any broken mount. But the bronc buster, also called a "bonc peeler" and a "bronc breaker," was a breed apart. These men, with a special type of "horse sense" earned not only the esteem of the other cowboys, but usually better wages.
9. Broken Wind - A lung infection in horses.
10. Broomtail - A long, bushy-tailed range mare, usually unbroken. Also called a "broomie."

Early this morning Cowboy and I attended a horse show class. Learned a lot and had a wonderful time!
After lunch Buttercup & my brother came over & went for a stroll with Cowboy and Trigg. I walked beside Cowboy & Trigg during their ride. We all had to wait under the carwash till the rain stopped. Buttercup is doing much better! She doesn't seem to give her heart away to just anyone. She is a sweet girl once she accepts you. She is finally BEGINNING to accept my brother. She is beginning to keep those ears up and happy.
I seem to be quite the little instigator here. I had to insist they try all kind of things. It was FUN!!! I had them going between swings, under picnic shelters, going up steps, going up and down small hills and concrete walls. My brother seemed to be amused. Little Cowboy was just having fun. LOL. There was a lot of laughing!!!
Fancy had and easy day today. All she had to do was look pretty and be sweet, she done an excellent job at that. LOL!

I am sure it will, but we have more than one way to get places. We had no water in our basement or whatever! We redid like our whole downstairs and dug a big treanch and added a new room onto the house because the builders built it wrong and it was like literally going down the hill and we just redid it. My grandpa was moved on Cedar Falls. My dads sister, Aunt, works at Mercy in CEdar Rapids. Ugh, I think it is SO stupid that they build cities on a FLOOD PLAIN!??!!! What is WRONG with them? VOTED!!!!!!! There is a horsemanship clinic on Monday that I am going to in Adel from like 6-8pm then I leave Tuesday for Minnestota!! Oh thats good i havent been able to get on much either!!!lol!!! I test rode Lilly again...my instuctoe likes her a lot!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh were playing HARLAN!!!!!!!!! Im so scared. If we lose my Perry friends will make fun of us:( I can always say at least we were actually IN the tournoment. Yeah Andy got down and rolled when I was riding and I did a superman IT WAS FUN!!!!!!!!!!!lol. But our basketball team is in the state tounoment!!! and Troy Ticknor is up for the national McDonalds team thing!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks. Do you know a Jeff and Michelle Fox or Stacy and Cathy Freestone? They go to Dr. Laura. I dont think we ever did. We go to Gasheys the OTHER vet in Minburn. Good Heart
