Hi ! A MONDAY VOTE FOR YOU! What a day ! It is really Indian summer but not too hot ! PF got her hoof treatment a quick ride and a shower and then of course she rolled in the pasture! I got some photos of her roaming free in our yard outside of her small pasture eating some fresh grown grass and with my cat Sunny laying close by to her. Uploading some photos from today. I AM SO HAPPY FOR PETITE FLEUR and HER SUPASSING HER 5,000 VOTE GOAL ! NEW ONE is 5,150 BY END OF SEPTEMBER! THAT would be a miracle! This early afternoon while the countryside was having their afternoon meal Petite Fleur and I walked around our road and I told her how proud I was of her. She did not have a bit in her mouth just a halter and lead ropes attached and she just walked smoothly and listened to me just talk to her softly. i rode smooch last night in the covered arena. still drizzling rain here. he was moving nicely at trot and when i cantered him he felt weird. went kinda UP instead of forward. it seemed like we weren't going anywhere and i was on a rocking horse. i hopped off and lunged him at canter and he was just fine. he was doing a western "lope" and i never felt anything like it! lol. he keeps telling me he wants to be a western pleasure horse. peek did a beginner lesson and was a good pony. the little 9 yr old practiced the keyhole race on her. hope all is good with you. i wonder, too. i read that haflingers are such nice kids horses but both mine can be very strong willed and difficult....pulling the reins out of the beginner riders hands...not picking feet up for hoof picking, etc. Come visit me, Sing & Herd.

thanks for blogging back! my haflinger stands pretty well for braiding so maybe one day i'll try it. her mane is really long and thick so i like to braid it some days to keep it from getting windblown and tangled or sometimes to hold it off her neck in this heat.Come visit me, Sing & Herd.
