Rode Comanche early this morning and went for a gallop and I can promise that that was the fastest I've ever gone! It was so fun and I could have done it all day but I think Comanche was getting a little soar! Pride did wonderful to I put a western saddle on him today and had the cinch tightened and was lunged at the walk and also started flexing real nice!
pray for Laura!!!! She broke her leg!

How are you doing? Is it hot there? It's been pretty warm here. Close to 100 degrees for a few days. And then suddenly down to 40 a couple of nights ago. And now back in the 90s. Crazy mountain weather!
Last month I spent so much time blogging for Shadowfax and the month before that I was blogging for Pixie Dust, that I haven't had much time to blog for Pippin! And he's my very own. Oh well, what he doesn't know…
He is looking SO handsome right now. I finally came to a decision to give him a flax seed oil supplement. His coat is glossy and he looks very healthy. I don't give him any type of grain so I think it's a good idea to add the oil. It's only a very tiny bit but it gives him the omega fatty acids that he wouldn't otherwise be getting. Most grain fed horses would get that automatically.
Talking of Shadowfax, I played around with Photoshop last night and made some photo edits of Pippin and Shadowfax together. I think they turned out pretty cool. I also made one of Pippin running in the surf.
I've been wanting to do that for some time. I want to make some of Eddie too. He's just so handsome it would be worth the trouble. I finally posted a photo of his first place win the rodeo parade. That is a HUGE event in our county. Come and check it out!
Well, as usual, it's getting late here. I hope you're all doing fine. I will try to write more than c/p messages but in the meantime I wanted to make the rounds and visit my friends.

Sorry I didn’t make it on yesterday!! I had a really busy day!!! I had the horse show and I tell you I am sooo proud of Mac!! We got first in every class we entered in Halter, Western and English!! Then after the horse show we went to the rodeo!! So I had a great day and I will upload a few new pics of Mac!!! Anyways thanks to the people who are supporting me on my HOTM run!! Hey!! It is Lara & Mac here!! Well I am sooo sorry we have not been on HC very much this past year and we had a very busy school year that is now coming to an end and we will have some more time for horse channel!! Now is the best part of the year when school comes to an end and horse shows kick it into full gear!!
Anyways so I will update you on me and Mac’s progress so far this year, we started off the winter riding only once a week and that was going really good, Mac was accomplishing sooo much!! Then it came time for the annual awards banquet which is head every year and me and Mac did wonderful winning 5 championship provincial awards and 3 jr champion zone awards, which is wonderful!! Since we did so well in our province we are trying to qualify for the Saskatchewan Summer Games in Dressage!! It is a big job but we hope we make the team!!! Now we are riding twice/three times a week to train hard for the Summer Games and the upcoming filled summer of horse shows!! So wish us luck and we hope we do well!!
Anyways let me know what you and your horse are up to and what your plans for summer are because I would love to hear them!!! Well hope all is well and left a vote!!!! Also Me & Mac would love to run for July HOTM and would really love your support!!

HAPPPPY VALENTINES DAY!!! make sure to give your horse a big kiss for me today! hahah i wish i could go give sandy one but im sooo busy today that i can't :( maybe soon though and then i'll shower him in kisses <3 anyways i have the feeling that im gonna have one busy looooong horsie filled summer! not just summer but starting now actually! i have riding lessons on sundays, on tuesdays and thursdays im goin to my lesson barn to watch and ride with my friend while she practices her jumping, and then maybe i might be goin to a REALLY NICE top of the line barn to help out a friend that went to school with my older siblings like once or twice a month on saturdays! i can't wait! and don't forget about the endless horse shows all summer that i'll get to go to and watch! anyways im suuuper excited! leavin a vote and i hope you have a lovely valentines day! <3

So I have been looking into some college courses that have to do with animals. I know my grades aren't good enough to go in for a vet, so I was looking into a vet assistant, animal science, vet tech, and some others. I mentioned going back to school to my hubby but either not being supportive or not taking me seriously. I feel I really need to get out of the hospital and away from the abusive boss and her lackies. I'm hoping once things get straightened out from when my hubby finished school that I can peruse me going more. The college here doesn't offer very much compared to one in southern alberta, so I may have to leave the year. I think maybe that's what my hubby is worried about. I will cross my fingers and pray that it works out.
A few days late. But HAPPY LATE NEW YEARS. LOL
I hope everyone had a good celebration. I worked but when I got home I got to watch a little bit of the fireworks from my bedroom window. Then as closer neighbors set off their fireworks, I sat in the living room consoling my dog. lol This is going to be a very busy month for work, but thats alright. The other day my friend informed me that her 6 month old colt may have been diagnosed with Stringhalt. He goes to the vet tomorrow. Poor guy.

Happy New years eve. :-) Are you doing anything this year? I have to work today and tomorrow. So nothing for me. I like to watch the fireworks they are my favorite. Our Christmas was good, my mother in-law announced her engagement, so we will be having a wedding this summer sometime. That is very exciting. Went out and saw the herd yesterday before work. Informed hubby that they needed bales, he went out there and had such a bad time. The tractor wouldn't start, he dropped a bale behind the other bales and on the fence wire, and then broke a fence post. My poor man, he was some kind of grouchy. lol Then on the way home it start to blizzard, and he got called to work this weekend. Hes the only Mechanic at the shop now, when he was in school three mechanics quite. So my hubby is super busy now. which is good unless he comes home grouchy. lol Well heres a vote for everyone and Best well wishes for the new year. I also have a question Im asking eveyone:
I'm thinking of letting a friend take Dee on the showing circuit around Alberta and British Columbia, I was wondering if I should get insurance and what kind. I won't be with them (which makes me sad, but work calls) Is insurance all the same? I'm worried about theft, and injury, or if there are any other kind of emergency. I'm excited that my friend want to take her but at the same time I'm super scared.
