My Horse's Favorite Treat: Froot Loops
My Horse's Favorite Things To Do: We love going for a bareback gallop in the field on summer evenings and early mornings; barrel racing; we also do western pleasure -she likes it; and Spirit LOVES to eat Froot Loops.
Pet Peeves: She hates working cattle and being around geldings and stallions - she freaks out, especially when she's horsing (what we call being in heat).

How We Met
Well... My 20+ year old gelding, Bones, died when I was about four, and then I started riding Dolly, my dad's friend's mare. She was like a dream to ride. Absolutely wonderful. She wouldn't let anything happen to me.
While I was riding Dolly in shows and doing terrific, my dad bought Spirit for me from some cowhands that had her but she wasn't growing to the size they preferred. My dad and Bill, the friend of his that owned Dolly, started breaking Spirit and had her well-broke within a while.
But one day Dolly coliced. I was devastated. But nothing could bring her back, and I knew that, even though I was six years old. I knew I had to move on, no matter how much it hurt.
And I did.
As soon as Dad and Bill had Spirit fully broke, I started riding her in shows and eventually came to love her like I had loved Dolly and still did.
I was only about seven years old, and as soon as I started riding her (even though she had been mine every since my dad bought her) I began calling her MINE. My Spirit..
