How We Met

I became the owner when my dad went to Tennessee to visit family and he found out that Bonnie, Comanche's mother, was in foal with Comanche's younger brother. Bonnie was having some trouble with the birth because when the front feet came out the head wasn't there. The vet was a few hours away so my dad was the one that went in and helped Bonnie my twisting the foal around. When the foal came out it wasn't breathing. It was a stallion. My dad took out his knife, cut the sack, and scraped out his nose so he could breath. Then he started blowing in the colt's nose. Bonnie came over and looked my dad straight in the eyes and saw what he was doing. Then, amazingly, she started pushing on the colt's chest and he took his first breath. The owner of the horses told my dad to take Comanche. And I was thrilled to have a horse, and such a wonderful dad :-)..
