Hi! I hope everyone is doing well! I've really been missing you guys! I'm sorry I havn't been on! As most of you know, I'm a full time student. Grades always come before here. But since I'm in honnors and AP classes, time on here isn't exactly abundant. Plus, I've had a nasty sinus infection for 3 weeks! :( It's finally almost gone! We had homecoming yesterday already! It was fun I guess, I'm not much for dances! =/ But it was still alright. Other than that I'm pretty good. My only homework this weekend was to rough draft a speech, which is ok so far, I plan on proofreading in the morning! I havn't seen stormy latley, but I'm hoping he is doing well. How is everyone else? Great I hope! How are your horses and ponies? Has anyone ridden latley? Well, Heres a vote from us. I hope to be on more soon, but I can't make any promises! I wanted to go for 5000 votes soon, but I dont think I will. Seeing as I don't know how much I'll be able to get on and I feel horrible when it takes me weeks to get back to blogs. hi
check out my action shots of me riding my haflinger, peach with no saddle or bridle! she's fine bareback and really slow. i thought it would be fun to try but it ends up she doesn't think she should be ridden with no bridle, apparently!! she tried to bite me and was giving halfhearted bucks and rears!!Come visit me, Sing & Herd.

This weekend was super dee duper fun! The lady that owns and runs the barn and helps all of us 4-H ers out has a niece that comes to stay in Ohio 3 months out of the summer. She had a going away/sweet sixteen party. it was fun cause when she came down to the barn we had a birthday song playing and we had painted "sweet sixteen" and a couple other things on her horse. Then we all went to paint our horses! It was so much fun! I painted Crystal like an indian horse. I put handprints on one side of her butt and a sun on the other. I gave her green highlights in her mane and painted her white socks. I also made a circle of spots around one eye. She looked so pretty! We took them on a long trail ride and galloped in a big field! My friends horse is really lazy cause he's part appaloosa and part percheron. We call him a perchaloosa. He was cantering trying to catch up with the rest of the horses and when he caught up my friend wasn't expecting him to stop but he just suddenly stopped. For some reason when she was cantering she was in two point so she just flew right over his neck. She was okay but her horse ran ahead to eat. He got the reins stuck behind his leg and I was afraid he was gonna trip but before he could I hopped off of Crystal and grabbed him. When we got back we had a bareback party. We all went with just a halter and lead rope tied on as reins. Oh yeah! Before we went on a trail ride we played musical horses and all traded horses. Then we raced each other doing down and back. Crystal and I usually won because she's always ready to go. We also played egg and spoon. Then we had our bareback party. My friend who's birthday it was wanted to canter Crystal bareback. She tried but Crystal is a hard bareback horse because she has such a fast trot! Especially right before you canter! You she was gonna try to canter her but she fell off because of her bumpy trot. She was fine though. Then for some reason two of my friends were just letting their horses cool down in the shade when one spooked! So one spooked and reared and my friend didn't have any stirrups! She fell but was fine. Then the other horse that spooked went on a crazy hand gallop around the arena. My friend that was riding him was riding western. She didn't have any stirrups and only was holding onto the end of the reins but somehow she managed to stay on. So three people fell off! We all seven tried to sleep on the trampoline which was not an easy task! We finally fell asleep around 3:30. When we woke up, after barn chores while the horses were eating we played sardines. Then we went for another trail ride and gallop in the field. i have also been working on setting Crystals head. I use a see saw motion towards my knees using as little pressure as I can. I GET A TUMMY RUB LATER IN THE EVENING!OHHHHH ! Mom is a little sore today but she is walking it off ! I stepped back while she dismounted me bareback last evening and she landed on her elbow and side of her knee! Well after last AUGUST’S kick in the leg from the neighbor’s gelding this is NOTHING! She says it was not my fault, just hers! I am so lucky! Maybe I will get another spine massage tonight! Too warm to ride bareback OR saddle! HI! how are you? I hope your doing well! I'm sorry I havn't been on in days! It had just been really busy. This is my last week of summer. It's been full of back to school shopping and getting ready for the school year. My schedule is messed up for the 2nd time :( I'm going to attempt to get it fixed by tommorow. This weekend was relally hot out! Hottest we've had all summer. It's really cool tonight though :) So I'm happy. Is anyone watching the metior shower tonight? Imight take a look! Won't watch too much. Tommorow will be another busy day with cleaning and such. Were having a BBQ at my house. How are you and your horse(s). Hope everyone is well and having a great week. I'm sorry I have been bad at blogging but as I've said thing have just been too busy and I havn't had the time. And once again, Thanks to everyone for the congrats on HOTM in Aug.
