SPROCKET AND FRIENDS UPDATE
Sprocket - Rode for an hour just walk trot though. He was very energetic despite the heat because someone had left jumps in the arena and he broke into a canter and tried to get close to them as soon as we passed 'em. Wait I did let him gallop around the arena full speed for about five minutes at the beginning of the ride since he wanted to run so bad so it wasn't actually just walk trot.
Fawn/Sizzler – gave 'em each a piece of carrot since I didn't have time to take them out.

Well i have also decided that i am also going to try and run Teddy for HOTM also well after Mac!! So i am going to run Mac for July and then planning on running Teddy the month after, August!! That is awesome that you get to ride so much :) I usually ride Koot around 4 times a week and on his off days I'll let him graze. I did show Koot all last season so we're taking this season off to just hang out and trail ride more. It's been really fun. We've been practicing some bridleless riding!

Here is a vote from Fancy!
Monday evening I went out to spend some quality time with Fancy") I really needed that. We practiced some leg yields and backing with me in the saddle. Fancy was pretty good with the backing. It took a few attempts before she understood the leg yields. It takes a few tries but each time she does them better than the last time. After a few minutes I let her graze and just enjoy some quiet time together.
My saddle is very comfy with the new adjustments. It is easy to keep my heels down and I am not reaching for the stirrup! That felt good! I can't wait to use them for a longer ride and see how my knees feel.

Gotta Saturday Night vote for you! I hope you have had as much fun as we have today! Today was bath day for Fancy. After her bath my son (on his bike) and I hand walked Fancy around the block. We let her graze before going home. I saddled Fancy and I rode her around the neighborhood and through the car wash:), while my son rode his bike. She surprised me by walking sooo slow the whole time. I couldn't believe it. I didn't even have to fight with her to go into our yard. She was just layed back and easy going! I was just surprised! I took tons of photos with my clean girl. Now she smells fresh too! I hated to put her into her corral. I hope she doesn't roll tonight:( I will see about that in the morning, LOL.

This is Tuesday's vote from Fancy.
Fancy seems to be enjoying these cooler temps. Are you planning on riding more now that the temps are dropping? I am thin on time these days, but I'm gonna make an effort to ride more even if it's just working on obstacles in the back yard. We did that Monday evening. I set up a plank to step across and eventually jump over. NOT TO HIGH, LOL. May not even make it to a jump. LOL. And we have a sheet board to walk upon and two barrels to walk between and back through. Yesterday was the first time we backed more than one or two steps with me on her back. I am tired tonight in a good way. After church I horsed around the rest of the day. My little boy and myself hung out with Tirnanog for some hours. We rode the wagon and I even had a chance to drive Ace and then I rode Tirnanog. He lost a little weight from the other weeks colic. But he seemed to enjoy all the attention he got today. Then we went home and gave Fancy and Queenie the rest of the day. I jumped Fancy and my son jumped Queenie over a board I set up in the back yard. Then my son and Queenie sat in the back of the truck while she ate her beef basted biscuit. I thought Fancy was going to try to get in the truck with them. Then my son rode his bike while I hand walked Fancy around two blocks and through the car wash. She didn't even hesitate. Just doing better every day, bless her little heart. I needed my horsey day about as much as I needed church this morning! This was one of the best days ever.
