How We Met

i started riding some horses for a lady (who is now a very good friend of mine), chances dad being one of them. chance had 30 days pro reining training on him 2 years before then left in the field after that (other then having ground work done with him) so i told my friend i would like to get on him so she said ok.the first time i got on him.i didn't have my helmet so she grabbed it while i was on him and didn't even have my feet in the stirrups yet. her dog ran between his back legs (he can be a very nervous horse) and he spooked and jumped forward on her foot she screamed and he jumped back...into his brush box which spooked him again...he jumped on her foot again and spun around and took off bucking. ..HARD.i had been riding for since i was about 9 and i had never truly been bucked off a horse...it took him a while but i ended up right on my butt in the middle of the riding arena. i love a challenge and i told her that one day i would own her horse.from that day on, chance and i had an amazing relationship (he felt bad and came in with a pout). i rode chance every single day after that, then one day she told me she had to down size because there was nothing left of her fields so some of the horses were going to the auction, chance was one of them.this really broke her heart because he was her first born on the property and it broke my heart because i loved him so much and i would be the one to show him there.so she told me that if i could come up with $500 before the auction he was mine. i don't know how i did it but i did and i've owned him ever since...i rode him almost 2 years and owned him about 4 or 5 years..
