Height: Still growing like a weed! Probably be tall like her daddy.
Color: Lakota is a solid color paint. She was born a deep red Chestnut but then she turned Dark Chocolate with red highlights. Mane has even turned dark with highlights. Big white blaze on face, 2 white socks (1 on back leg, 1 on front leg) and kind of a lightning shape white marking on her front knee on the leg without the sock. Now I just call her a darker chestnut color, she changed colors so much!
Type of Riding: Trail riding when she is old enough, if we still have her by then. Already placed a saddle on her and she took it well. But she is pretty much ready to be trained your way for any type!
My Horse's Achievements: She was born and I was there to watch! She is my horse's first baby and my first foal too!!
My Horse's Favorite Treat: Salt lick and baby cut carrots.
My Horse's Favorite Things To Do: Run and play
Pet Peeves: She gets a little bord when tied and will paw at the ground sometimes.

How We Met
Bred my Palomino Mare (Cheyanne) with a Paint Stallion (Ace)... then Lakota was born! She was born on July 22, 2009..

HELLO! So my mom, Lena, has decided she want to run for HOTM, but, in order to do that she's going to need at least 600 votes! Now I think she misplaced them somewhere and I don't think we are smart enough to know where she put them. But by pressing a button at the top of my club horse account I'm pretty sure we'll be able to find them! Also if you do we'll return the favor! :)

WOULD LOVE YOUR SUPPORT
Before I bought Sterl May(read her how we met story please),I used to lease a solid bred paint mare, at a local boarding stable not far from home. Her name was Fool Kat, I leased because as an adult getting back into riding, I wanted to be sure before I bought my own horse. The barn owners thought that I should buy a foal and raise it up. One of the other riders at the barn heard this and she said she knew of someone that had a horse for sale for not too much $$$ she mostly wanted a good home for this horse. The only thing was, she was a STANDARDBRED, that didn't mean anything to me. I went to meet her, and I will never forget the feeling I had when I walked into her paddock, she tuRned to look at me, THOSE EYES, THOSE BEAUTIFUL EYES, she still has those beautiful eyes, thanks for your support, we left a vote too. Big hi to all. Jessica came out Wednesday with her boyfriend, David. Sadie was bad. While Jessica picked her hooves, Sadie yanked her back hoof away. She bucked a couple of times, too, when Jessica rode her. She did okay with me. The strap on the saddle pinched a bruise on the inside of my left knee. Shouldn't have worn shorts. Found the missing fly mask, too. Jessica and I dumped Sadie's water trough to clean it out, and there it was. It had sunk to the bottom of the trough. I didn't think to check there. We certainly hope you have enjoyed this day in the spotlight. What a lovely mare.
FANCY'S PERCEPTIONS:
Blessed are the pure in heart, they shall see God.
Here is a good night vote from our herd to yours. Hope you have enjoyed this weekend come rain or shine. The rains have set upon us for a few days to come. It feels relaxing, but chilly. I just watched Fancy and Trigger munching hay and while they ate their grain, I stood out in the rains to police Fancy. LOL. To keep Fancy from taking Trigger's grain. When I am in the house, I often look out at the flowers and to keep an eye on Fancy. My small flower garden has come a long way. I am going to bed soon. I am a bit tired.

Saturday vote 4 U! Do enjoy this great weekend :)
We went to the horse show, but we did not take Fancy nor Trigger because I could not clean them up. I helped out in the arena giving out ribbons. That was as much fun as showing. I really learned a lot helping in the arena. I am so excited and hyped up to show!
My darling Fancy Walk N’s heel bulb is all healed up! I just hope she can stay out of trouble now!!!
