How We Met
A huge thank you to Pippin's Mom for my new awesome avatar!!
Ginger has been my horse for the past 7 years. This year she made a dream come true for a young girl named Harley. I haven't been able to ride much and decided it was unfair to leave Ginger out in the pasture with no one to ride her. Ginger has been an amazing trail horse and has taken care of me on some of the most advanced trails Utah has to offer. I felt it was time I return the favor and make sure she is happy and loved. I know Harley will love her. Today is the first Christmas in many years that I haven't taken a treat of carrots & apples to Ginger. This morning she had a big bow around her neck and met her new Mom. Thanks Ginger..you made my life better by being part of it. I love you...

HI, here is a good night Vote. I will read my blogs soon to see what is going on with you. Still raining here like every other day and some days it rains for two days in a row.
When I took Trigger to the vet last week, as I turned onto another street, I heard something sliding off the trailer that sounded like a chain. I could not remember what I had left on the trailer, and I could not find what ever it was when I returned. One day I will look for something and know that was the item that I lost that day. One day I rode an hour out and found a roll of tape still laying on the trailer. A few months ago, my house keys fell off onto a busy street. I did find the keys, but had to replace most of them because they were mangled beyond use. I keep losing things off the trailer. I gotta stop leaving things on the wheel hubs, they are not safe for keeping things. I told myself to start putting the things in the truck bed instead. Hope I can remember to do that.
My weekend was wonderful, I attended the chicken stock first. this lady gave Cowboy a 4 week old Guinea pig. We had to go Guinea pig shopping for food, hay, etc. We were there half the day, then went to the Horselover's Day an hour away. I was kind of tired during the drive. I almost fell asleep. I felt better when I got out of the truck. Cowboy and I met lots of people and some horses. Cowboy was known as the boy with the Guinea pig on a leash.
We got home late Saturday evening, then I had to prepare some things for our horse club meeting, which was today. A nice lady presented a Parelli demonstration tonight!
I am in the process of cleaning and gathering all the items for the family day I am hosting next weekend. I made horseshoe picture frames and looks like things are coming together.
Cowboy's baseball game was postponed due to rain, and VBS began Monday evening. VBS runs till Friday night. I usually begin to ride after VBS week is over. I am so ready. I need some good ole relaxing Fancy time.

Hi, left a vote. The rain in coming back for like a week, so may not be able to ride outside for a bit. That is ok, I will just keep playing with her in the arena, and riding in there.

Hi Ginger, here's a vote for ya. Well it started out sunny, hot and humid. I rode inside of course, all fans on, ceiling and door way fans going and it wasn't all that bad. Paige was good for today's assigement. Then when she was drying and finishing cooling down on the wall, I was like, weed wack now or not get all dirty and sweaty, cause I have to go food shopping. So I came in and did some stuff on the computer, just then I hear boom, boom! Yep thunder and rain like crazy, now mind you, her SMB boots and girth and good saddle pad are outside to dry! HA HA! The saddle pad was my main concern. Got a little wet. And so there goes the plans of weed wacking and mowing later on after shopping! Poured for an hour! Hi, left a vote. I haven't heard anything today about my granddaughter, I should have some news on her for tomorrows blog.
I rode Amber outside again today, she did great! I am so very proud of her, and I love her so much. Sue came out today, remember how she really tried to talk me out of buying Amber? She watched us today, and said that she could tell we have a bond, and that Amber loves me. She thinks she is the sweetest horse she has ever met, and that she was glad I got Amber! She also told me I was doing great with her and to keep it up. She is now going to try the umbrella and hula hoop with her horse.Come visit me, Toby & Amber - Running for HOTM.

Hi Ginger, here's a vote for ya. Well Karen came up today to work with Paige and I. She texted and said get on and start her out and I'll see what you've been doing and if it's working or we have to tweek it a little. So we did good for the most, got some more things to work on till the end of the week when she comes up again. The Karen got on and really worked her! I love watching her ride and how my mare goes for her. That's why she's a trainer and I'm a non-pro rider! Got Paige's pasture mowed, I was hoping to turn out tomorrow, but we had a storm more through around 6:30 and the heavens opened up, now possible more rain tomorrow. Hi Ginger, here's a vote for ya. Rode Paige this morning, she was good. Indy got turnout behind the barn, only place kinda not like a swamp right now. I did mow his pasture up top and it was semi-dri, but not enough that if he ran he wouldn't dig the heck out of it. It was lookin' like rain on and off and never did! Thank you Lord. ✞ “HAPPY FATHERS DAY” I was playing whinny warz and stumbled across the horse shoe. Someone years ago was trying to explain it in a blog and I tried it and it worked! Sometimes when I play warz I see a horse I want to research so I look them up. That’s how I found this so here is how to do it: & Omega ; leave out the spaces of course and make sure the “O” is capital!! I would rather have horse shoes facing up cuz I grew up with the old saying that a horseshoe that direction is bad luck~ had our grandson Jason over last night. He is such a ham! Deacon loves kids and he just totally melts and gets so soft. His eyes even soften. Do you know what I mean-have you ever watched your horse try to shrink and get small so he can love kids? Yesterday was very relaxing, when I do go back to work I fear it will be quite difficult. We have a "back to work program" that just means you ease into it slowly, I think you start at half days, that is not for a bit yet, likely another 2 months. I'm not going thru all this to re injure. big day today! michael decided he wanted to try riding again. it's been about 16 years since he's been on a horse. he rode smooch. did a nice little jog around the arena a few times. i was impressed that smooch didn't bat an eye when this 6ft/250 lber got on his back! he's mostly used to young girls. glad it went well. Hi Ginger, here's a vote for ya. Beautiful sunny day and I just kinda laid low today. Did work Paige in her showmanship lesson, it was her riding day off. Turned out just Bullsye, he's light and didn't really sink in. So much standing water all over the place. Tried to mow the lawn and I was hydro flying around, didn't work out very well, abandined that idea. So then i went to friends for a BBQ for a while. Ate too much, but had a good time. Somehow I have 5 events for this Saturday. (big accident) I am going to try to make the horseclub event first. Then I will try to stop by a friends family reunion, next I promised to attend a horselover's day in another city with a friend. Those are the events that I want to attend most of all. I do not know if I will have enough time or strength. All other events will have to fall in place if possible. I really do not want to hurt anyone's feelings if I do not attend their event. I am trying to get in bed early with hopes I am rested and wake up early. I will be online if I can. I might have to hit the hay early Saturday night from exhaustion.

Hi Ginger, here's a vote for ya. Had a really good ride on Paige today. Also got that right shoulder freed up a little. I remembered the stretches that Dr. Carole told me to do last year when that shoulder was stiff, sure enough, first bend around for the carrot and POP went the neck. She had one out! Got it in and she's moving so much better! Then took Indy in and worked with him. He was his usual lazy self! LOL! Then I took Bullseye in for playtime, and that's when the heavens opened up and we got stuck in there for over half an hour. He likes to just follow me around. I feel like the pi-pipper with him trailing behind! LOL! then it rained on and off all afternoon, with one thunder storm too! Suns out now and supposed to be nice tomorrow! (}---{)Good Morning all, we left a vote for you. Physio was good, I like this woman, I had my little breakdown, she was very reassuring, that this is part of the healing process. She said that because I was strong before the surgery and had good muscle tone, it is harder for these muscles to relax and heal, that might be part of the pain I'm having. I don't know if Sadie loves watermelon better than carrots. Cold watermelon is a wonderful way to help battle the heat...Sadie got her new 50 gallon, Rubbermaid watering trough Thursday. The metal one she was using developed holes in the bottom. It was rusting, too. I didn't think it was suppose to rust. She drank and made funny swishing noises while I filled it. Silly girl. I scrubbed the old one out. It's still in the corral, because I'm going to use it to feed her in. She was moving it around. Probably wondering why it was empty. So nosy. Voted. I read my blogs, looks like most of us are really enjoying our equine pals this spring! Great blogs! And now we have a whole new weekend to enjoy more adventures, have fun :)
Trigger had a bath Wednesday evening, then he spent the night stalled. Trigger had his vet visit today. He loaded up nicely the first time, but he backed out before I got the butt bar up. The second time he stayed in there. Fancy ran around screaming bloody murder. I like to take them places without the other one so they can know that it is ok to be separated. They do not agree with that. LOL. When we returned, Fancy was filthy with sweat and dirt, from all of her running and screaming. When I turned Trigger loose, Fancy scolded him roughly for leaving her. After that, Fancy was nice to Trigger. I cannot believe how silly Fancy can be.
We really had a bad storm this evening. I was filling Fancy’s water tub when the storm began. The wind was exceptionally high and Fancy was playing in the water. I just put a tarp over Bandit’s (my Siberian Husky) kennel on his birthday, May 31, Well, the wind lifted that kennel and tossed it sideways into our chain link fence on that side of our yard. Bandit was a bit terrified, he ran into his dog house and stayed there until Cowboy and I got his kennel back in place. Then I took that tarp off. The wind did blow harder, and I was thankful the kennel stayed on the ground for the remainder of the storm. As we worked on the kennel, Fancy ran crazy then went to eat hay. I guess all the running wild and crazy did work up an appetite. Trigger did not seem to really care that the wind was up. He did join Fancy munching hay in the rain though.
It was amazing to see huge trees swaying wildly, almost touching the ground. It was beautiful and frightful at the same time. I hardly ever see this because I am usually in the house when the storms come up. I was glad when the storm was over and things were peaceful again.

Hi Ginger, here's a vote for ya. Karen came up today and worked with Paige, this is the best she's been in a couple of weeks. Haveing some marey issues I think! Seems out of it now and back to normal. Didn't do anything with anyone else. We got the storms that were moving in from the mid-west. Lot's of rain, but no like southern jersey got, they got slammed! But the water is just standing on top of the ground, it's so soaked it won't even seep in! GGRRRRRR!!! Love ya, Marion and the blondies. Come visit me, Nuttin But Good.
