Good morning vote for ya. I groomed Fancy this morning and cleaned her stall before I fed her. Now it's after 1pm and it's snowing pretty hard.
I won't be posting me brother's yearling filly after all. This man couldn't feed all of his horses, so he gave my brother a yearling last month. My brother lost his job so he gave her to a friend. Right now she is sick, only eating a little and sometimes she won't stand up. Fancy met a toddler for the first time Sunday afternoon. It was Samuel, my neighbor's great-grandson. Samuel toddled up the street, very noisily and swinging his little arms eveywhere while Fancy was nibbling grass on the side of the road. I kept a tight watch and hold on her cause she doesn't like strangers. She watched him and when he got to her she just sniffed him all over. His mom lifted him and Fancy sniffed him more. She cuddled her nose into his little chest after sniffing his hair. All I could think of was, if he was an adult she would have ran. She just never stops amazing me. Just daydreaming about riding this spring and thinking: I only have my little "Fancy" horse right now and I think I will really enjoy riding her this spring, but if you have access to more than one, please tell me which is your favorite to ride and why, if you are like me and only have one, I would like to know what you like most about that one.
Tuesday while I fed Fancy she stood at the gate and when I went to exit she tried to follow me. I knew it, she wants to go out with me,LOL. It was barely over 30 degrees so I promised her a better day. Fancy got her better day Wednesday! We have had such cold days Wednesday felt like spring and it was just in the 40's. I cleaned up, groomed her, went over some of our old lessons, which to my surprise she did right off, just like we never missed a day at doing them. Then her favorite, we went out. HorseChannel Friends don't know how much your kindness means to me. On HorseChannel no one looks down at me for loving my horse, no one says I am silly when I say I still and always will miss Bishop, or that I'm silly to love Fancy and we don't loose our minds at the sight or smell of horse poop. On HorseChannel I find down to earth people who share a love for horses. I am a horse fanatic, maybe more than most? I don't think it is treatable, it has taken over my heart. Our family decorated the tree yesterday, my baby boy really enjoyed this! But I couldn't find my outside decorations:( Fancy was so sweet when I went to feed her. She rears and twirls around when she sees me coming in her direction. And I wondered if it was a test of "Whose in Charge", I discovered by her actions when I get to her, she only misses me and wants me near. Because when I get there she is submisive and sooo sweet, when I get to her she gently blows into my nostrils, which means she accepts me. And I blow back, then puts her head close to me and she is just sooo sweet.

Just fed Fancy, looks like it's gonna be a fine day here. I fixed another safe place to tie her out, but the ground is too soggy. Tuesday was terrific, Fancy was a little hypersensitive due to the cool fall wind. When I put her back in the corral she ran, lept, and twirled. I knew she wanted to go out cause she headed that way but I didn't have time (had to take my mom to a meeting). I really wanted to take her out to. She loves the long walks cause she gets to stop and eat grass everywhere.LOL I love reading what your horse is up to also, they are so amusing. Both votes have been delivered. Girltime was a success. It turned into more than i had planned because Fancy wanted to go walking. So i tacked her up and we went. This was the first time I ever ground drove her by the bit instead of the halter. It was great! I blogged about it on our page if you have time to read it.I know how work hurts our horsetime when the daylight hours are so short. Make the most of what you can get in.
