How are you doing? Wow, it's been a long, long time since I blogged properly on here! This has been the craziest summer ever. I'm always busy and somewhat insane but I think I've taken both to a new level because I've been insanely busy. :)
Without boring you with too many details I'll just say that I've had to take several road trips for work and the past 3 weeks I've been literally working day and night to meet a deadline. But, it's good to keep busy, right? I just miss my nighttime blogging.
Thank you so much for stopping by for Eddie's win for hotd. I was gone when Prince won and in between trips when Eddie won. But it sure was nice to read all the congrats and to see them in the spotlight again.
Pippin is doing is great as are the big boys. I see them once a week to drive and I really like driving a lot. I still wish I could ride but I'm happy that not only do I get to spend time with horses but I get to drive them.
I take Pippin out as much as I can. Not every day like we're used to because I'm so busy but at least several times a week, even if it's just a walk.
Just the other evening I took him out for a cart ride with Melian. He hadn't been out for about a week and was feeling the need to stretch his little legs.
We were going at a nice trot for a mile or so. Once he warmed up properly he wanted to go faster so I set him at a fast canter. That got Melian interested in a race. They love racing each other!
So, she started teasing him by zigzagging back and forth under his nose and he chased her trying to nip at her bony butt.
Suddenly she did a rollback and accidentally rolled back onto her butt. She was SO mad. I think she felt embarrassed and she let out a huge growl. It was plain that she blamed Pippin and she let him know.
That got him going and he took off at an earth shattering gallop. It was the fastest I have ever seen him pull a cart. It felt like it was going to explode into a million tiny parts. Wow, that was fun! He ran like that for over a mile. What a rush!
That had me smiling and he got a nice bounce to his step. I'm sure you agree that there's nothing like a good ride or drive to bring things back into perspective.
Thanks for sticking by me even though I've not been around. I'm getting caught up on my blogs today (I hope) but I'm not sure how often I can blog. Still lots of work to do.

PPS I thought that this was cute enough to mention. The other night we were watching Olympic showjumping and Melian saw the horses on the screen. She loves running with the horses and she growled and tried to catch one as he went over the jump. :)Come visit me, Prince (Rest in peace sweet Tiny girl.), Pippin (Tiny is forever in our hearts) & Eddie (Our BIG boy!).

did you know that model horses have a huge following and they host horse shows for them just like real horses? some of it is held live and some online. nice for kids or hobbyist that can't keep a real horse. just for fun, i posted 2 model horses at the bottom of my page. one a trail horse and the other a vanner. i believe the hotd yesterday was a model. :) Come visit me, Sing & Herd.

HI, left a vote. Rode Logan again yesterday, he did great. Didn't lunge him this time, just tacked him up and off we went. Rode out in the field again by ourselves, he was vocal, but not as bad as the day before. Will do it again today. We have a trail course, playday, and trail ride coming up this Saturday, so that is why I am riding him everyday, want to get to know him, and for Logan to get to know me a little before we go on Saturday. He enjoyed his extras treats for being hotd. Come visit me, Toby & Amber - Running for HOTM.

Monday vote Spike is really cute!
Hey every one yesterday I discovered Niteskys Oreo (Comanche) Likes I mean loves jelly beans and cream soda! lol It was pretty funny seeing him get the last drops out of my soda can!

Left you a vote! Logans gravel in his hoof isn't much better and he is still limping, but soon he is going to get shoes on his front hooves so that might help him! My trainer said when he gets shoes it will elevate his hooves off the ground a little so they are not touching all the dirt and mud, and that will help prevent him from getting so many abscesses and gravels! this is susan & the herd blogging for our angel crew today. we hope you're all voting for our darling shetland angel pony.
everything about joanna has pretty much been said. she was a selfless woman who used her computer to empower herself. when i heard that she died, i went to facebook to find her last comment. wouldn't you know, it was helpful advice to others who had so many complaints about the changes that were recently made on FB. her last entry was "how to get your feedback to normal again." she broke it down in step by step explanation. she had grateful thanks from 3 others telling her they sppreciated it. she's a real example of the expression, "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade."
thank you for the HOTD for scooter, the driving pony. we had a blast at the clinic. about 8 people turned up. we'll have another next month. she's doing a series of 4 basic driving lessons.Come visit me, Sing & Herd.
