Hey everyone! Leaving a vote from Maybel today! Thanks to MWS Zippin By Indy for Maybel's 6400th vote! She is now less than 100 away from her goal! I had a great ride on Maybel yesterday. She did really good. But was lazy again. I think i have figured out that it is the nice new grass she wants to eat so she is being lazy and tries to reach to eat it. Being lazy is so unlike Maybel though! I never ever have to ask her twice to move faster! But i did yesterday! I also got some new pics of me and Maybel! It was a nice day so i thought i'd have mom take pictures. There are a few of me trotting and trying to post! lol! I will put them on Maybel's page hopefully later tonight. How is everyone? It rained today and now its starting to snow...uhhh =Sorry, I was on yesterday, but dont get to do any voting. I got a letter in the mail, it was about Cloud's herd in Montana. The letter says this,
'' The future of Cloud's famous herd has been severely jeopardized by the recent six day roundup of the mustangs by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). A federal contractor-- who previously served jail time for caturing and selling wild horses for slaughter--was hired by the BLM to conduct this devastating roundup of Cloud's herd. A helicopter chased the family bands of these poor mustangs, including a week old foal, down the mountainside, for distances up to 12 miles. Not only were the horses forced out of the mountains nonstop over six days, but temperatures most days reached the mids 90s. A few mustangs avoided capture by hiding in treed areas, but even the brave and proud stallion, Cloud, was eventually rounded up with his family band. Could, like several others, was injured during the removal. Fortunately, he was eventually released, but many of his family members were permanently removed from the only homethey have ever known, their freedom gone forever. Cloud tried staying with them, but was driven from the coral area by men on horseback. As someone who believes in preserving our American mustangs, I know that you are as outraged as I am about this roundup. I'd would like you to please sign and return the enclosed stop the roundups! petition to Bob Abbey, the Director of the BLM. Because right now, the courts are failing to rule favorably on our lawsuits to save Cloud's herd and other wild horses from massive and unnecessary roundups.''

Here's a Wednesday vote.
Sorry, I have not been on lately...very busy!!
So Tuesday, I had my riding lesson. I rode Echo and we didnt really do much because there was alot of new beginner students. We did the basics and played musical stalls and practiced the key hole(my time was 12.25 seconds). And the one of the new girls fell off, but she wasnt hurt, it was her first time cantering a horse.
I had fun tho. Lady is doing good, she has been sleeping laying down alot and I hope to gets so pics of her doing that. She so cute!! I have not rode her in a while caz of bad weather =[ I wish I had an indoor arena...
Oh, all most forgot to tell you guys... Have you ever heard of mini pigs?? My family is going to start raising\breeding mini pigs in the spring (and chickens too)!! Well, I hope you guys are doing good. I got to go get ready for ANOTHER suprise B-day party for my BFF Gracie, she's turning 13yr. Friday. So yeah, wish me luck that this goes out well. We didn't get to walk yesterday because the men came to cut the large tree down and it took all evening. They got the tree down and hauled off the top part. They are coming back with some equipment to load the bottom half cause it is tooo big. They are going to make something with the wood so they couldn't cut it down. This was an excellent experience for Fancy because she was afraid at first. About 20 minutes into the sawing she calmed down and didn't even pay them any attention. I was so proud of her. Everything is a learning experience for our horses, which can be good or bad.

Fancy and Frances here leaving you an it's been wonderful reining as November HOTM vote. It has been a lovely Fri and Sat here in NC. We hope for more of this pleasant weather today. Both days we hung out in the yard with Fancy. Last night when I put her up my boys decided to take their Jack Russel, Bindi, for a walk up the street. Oh, this got to Fancy. She saw them walking toward the street and she twirled, looked at me, looked at them, reared, looked at me, lifted her head over the gate and looked at me. I knew she wanted to go. Fancy was saying come on and my boys were saying come on Mom. I felt bad, but it was getting dark and I had to put the water hose up, lock the shed, etc. I promised to accompany them another day because I don't like to walk Fancy out of the yard after dark. All in all our weekend has been great. We hope your weekend is all that and more!

update
My riding lesson went great. I rode Echo and he did awesome. We did the jumping courses, side passes and did pole bending. Pole bending went well, sammatha fell off magic, but didnt cry this time. It was so annoying because Vicky thinks she's the trainer and can tell me how to ride my horse.
Now, Vicky is 35yr. and she is autistic.
I do not have a problem with autistic people, I actually have a BFF who is an autistic adult and has fetal alcohol syndrome (she is also horse crazy and one of thee smartest people I've ever meet).
But yeah, Vicky telling me how to ride is annoying, and the thing is Im riding English and she's riding Western...and to me, its alot easyer to canter a fast horse when your riding Western. Tha last time I rode the horse she was ridng, I had alot of problems cantering him, and of course, I was riding English. So now she thinks she so great because she can canter him and this is Vicky's first time riding him.
Sorry about my complainting, Im just so annoyed because she does it every week and it does not matter who I riding or how good or bad Im doing. I left a vote =]Come visit me, Lady.

Great day! I did chores with Hilary(about brans age and goes to high school near the farm, she works on the farm till 9 cuz her classes dont start till 10) We got the horses fed then started turning out. i had all four of mine(sad i know only four to turn out) then started on stalls by the time she was done I was on my 6th stall so as you can guess I did stalls by my self sadly! lol. it was k tho i got to listen to the radio loudly and such so i lived, then Mel came and she was sick so i told her to go to the docter and she listened to me and went, she has bronkitis(sorry i cant spell) and the flu all in one! How nice is that! the doctor said she will be better in a week but if not I am suposed to force her to go in again. lol. So yeah then i fed and ate, then got Alex groomed up adn ready to be rode, who knew a dressage saddle was harder then a englihs(lol) then i did some cleaning jobs for money and got to ride Ana. I rode her western and Mel was so proud of us she said we did really good for not having lessons anymore. Then i untacked her saddle and tryed to swing up on her bareback, i faile misserbly Mel laughed so hard i just kept saying "i cant do it" then i would fall on my butt lol so mel helped me, she told me to grab mane with both hands (somethign i cant do very good) and swing my hips and get my long legs up there, yeah you know i think it would be easier if i had short legs cuz lol it dint work, i finlayy got on but i almost fell but i was like "ok mel your doing this next" lol she said no cuz she was on a 3 year old, well i know jeanie has rode him around bareback so lol mel would be fine. and i got new pics of Ana and Spot! I let Ana graze after i rode so i layed in the grass and took pics they are really cute! i put one up and i added spots too! also good news bout spot! We can start riding him! I might get to ride him Wed. Mel rode him todya and he did GREAT! YAY! lol leaving votes for you~Mel and Ana+Spot and misty p.s.
