I had a great time today out with my Fancy. I have left her warm and dry in her stall awaiting the rain (possibly mixed snow) late tonight. We didn't get to walk yesterday because the men came to cut the large tree down and it took all evening. They got the tree down and hauled off the top part. They are coming back with some equipment to load the bottom half cause it is tooo big. They are going to make something with the wood so they couldn't cut it down. This was an excellent experience for Fancy because she was afraid at first. About 20 minutes into the sawing she calmed down and didn't even pay them any attention. I was so proud of her. Everything is a learning experience for our horses, which can be good or bad.
On this grand Monday morning we leave a vote for you in honor of Fancy's last day as QUEEN Of NOVEMBER. Good day to all. Fancy and I are back from the vet with good news. Back in October a friend gave us 4 roles of rye hay. Fancy had an allergic reaction to it that left her with mastitis due to an overdose of estrogen. She ate less than 1 whole roll before this happened. I gave the 3 and 1/2 rolls to a friend who wasn't afraid to feed it to his horses and they did not get ill from the hay. But with Fancy I had to milk her to get the infection out and now she has clear liquid instead of milk and a slight fever. The vet gave her 1 weeks of antibiotics and said I got her through the worse of it when I milked the bad milk out. So we expect her to be fine. Whew! I love my little horse. I hope yours are fairing much better and things are good. Here is a we are getting all better vote from Fancy and Frances. Have a wonderful Thursday! Thanks a bunch for visiting and voting for Fancy. Tuesday was terrific, Fancy was a little hypersensitive due to the cool fall wind. When I put her back in the corral she ran, lept, and twirled. I knew she wanted to go out cause she headed that way but I didn't have time (had to take my mom to a meeting). I really wanted to take her out to. She loves the long walks cause she gets to stop and eat grass everywhere.LOL I love reading what your horse is up to also, they are so amusing. Here's a vote to HUMP DAY middle of the week, it's downhill from here and Thanksgiving will be soon.
