A Saturday Vote, oh yeah!
Friday afternoon after my sinus meds let lose of my brain i adventured myself outside about 5:30pm to clean up and feed Fancy. Well it was so nice outside I started grooming her while i let her graze in the backyard. I decided to saddle her and do some ground work and i wanted to sit on her again. So I went to back porch to get my shoes. Fancy stood at the gate until I got back. Since I wasn't sure I still had her attention i got the whip and desensitized her to it and lounged her left and right to make sure she was ready to listen. This only took about 5 times and she showed me she was ready. I stood in the stirrups on each side one at a time and leaned over rubbing her neck and side. Then i tapped her hind end to desensitize her to my foot hitting her and I tapped the saddle all over to. And I mounted and dismounted a few times on each side. I figured since she is very forward I would just sit there until she started to walk. I rocked the saddle a few times to let her know that i move too. Then I waited. And she did walk. I let her walk until she stopped. Then I dismounted and she gave me a horsey neck hug and I hugged her back and gave her tons of rubs and horsey nose kisses because I was so happy. Then I let her eat some more grass. I know this isn't much but for me with her it is. Because she is plenty ready and big enough to carry me as long as i don't gain a lot of weight any time soon,LOL. I am just taking it slow like we have done so much already, i go about it like we are just having fun together and it seems to work with her. I pray she continues to be so good for me. She is not perfect but i can work with her and we somehow being blessed get it done!

I offered My Fancy another peppermint, she took it in her mouth and spit it to the ground. So later I offered her a cookie and she nibbled at it and spit it out too. She later ate the cookie. I am going to stick with cookies for her,LOL. Looks like she is getting taller, I'm excited to measure her first of January to see. Are you riding in this cold weather? It is cold but clear here and expecting more rain end of the week. I am starting to get accustomed to this rain every week patternL:) lol.
