Hi Stormy
We think our Farrier goofed up on poor Levy's feet last Friday. He was fine until she came out,after she left he could not walk at all. We called her and she is comming out tomorrow. I hope she can fix him, Levy was not the only horse that had probs after she left. NOT REAL HAPPY WITH HER RIGHT NOW !! Thank you for your concern and prayers. It really means alot to us. Good Morning, A Fancy Monday morning vote to you! Hope you have enjoyed a wonderful holiday! Fancy seems a little sad this morning. Instead of eating while I cleaned up, she stayed beside me and kept putting her nose in my face and then she walked me to the gate. I am going to spend some time with her this afternoon after I get the house straight. I don't like to see her sad:(

Oh, Tirnanog has developed a strange habit. The last few times he has been ridden, after mounting him he bucks a few times and then looks back to see if you are still on him and then if you are still there, he walks on like nothing happens. HMMM, I wonder what is on his mind.
We saw the movie Avatar yesterday and it was better than I ever expected. I told my sons I was going to braid my hair and go out and plug it into Fancy's mane to see if we would bond. They laughed. Ha, they just didn't know, it worked. LOL. Now when I ride Fancy I am going to think I am plugged into one of those huge winged creatures soaring through the air!
Have you ever seen a movie that made you feel like that could be you on your horse? Well, that is my fantasy for the week:) What is yours?

Thanks for the vote!!! I voted for you!!! Please try to remember to vote for Big Grey every day because, I would really love to honor him with HOTM in August!!! Its been a really hard week, Merlin passed away at our barn. :( We are all really going to miss him and it doesn't seem the same without him!!! It's so sad because the horses are even looking for him and are whinning when they walk by his empty stall.
As for ridng, it's been over two months since I've rode Grey!!! I seem to be alternating between Romeo and Prince.
Well, I got to go do a ton of homework :( Please remember to vote every day and pray for Merlin to make a safe transition to heaven.

Tuesday afternoon vote for ya. I groomed Fancy this morning and cleaned her stall before I fed her. Now it's after 1pm and it's snowing pretty hard.

I won't be posting me brother's yearling filly after all. This man couldn't feed all of his horses, so he gave my brother a yearling last month. My brother lost his job so he gave her to a friend. Right now she is sick, only eating a little and sometimes she won't stand up. He had a vet check her and said to make a sling to hold her up and keep trying to feed her.

This man had too many horses and couldn't feed them all so this past Wednesday he gave my youngest brother a litle paint yearling filly. She is underweight but she is very pretty. My brother is very excited and I am happy for him. Well that is what's happening with us, how about YOU?

Fancy trotting by to drop a Thursday Vote in your pail! Is the weather at your house allowing you to get any horsey activities done? We still have snow laying, but, tons of snow melted yesterday, which left ponds of water standing. Hopefully they will dry up today or sometime soon,LOL. And my boys are back to school today. Hi, here's a vote from Fancy. We made it to the middle of this week without a day of school due to the snow. Maybe it will be warm enough today to clear more of the back roads. I sure would have loved to ride Fancy in the snow. Hopefully we will get the chance in years to come.

Good Monday Morning vote to you! Fancy and I spent a little time in the snow yesterday before I got too cold, LOL. After she got her a good days stretch I groomed her out in the yard while she tried to dig up grass to nibble and then I lead her to the stall for supper and good nights. Like so many of us I am glad to finally enter February because it means we are that much closer to spring!!!

Just daydreaming about riding this spring and thinking: I only have my little "Fancy" horse right now and I think I will really enjoy riding her this spring, but if you have access to more than one, please tell me which is your favorite to ride and why, if you are like me and only have one, I would like to know what you like most about that one.
Tuesday while I fed Fancy she stood at the gate and when I went to exit she tried to follow me. I knew it, she wants to go out with me,LOL. It was barely over 30 degrees so I promised her a better day. Fancy got her better day Wednesday! We have had such cold days Wednesday felt like spring and it was just in the 40's. I cleaned up, groomed her, went over some of our old lessons, which to my surprise she did right off, just like we never missed a day at doing them. Then her favorite, we went out. Fancy leaves you an 'it has been a Better day' vote!

HorseChannel Friends don't know how much your kindness means to me. On HorseChannel no one looks down at me for loving my horse, no one says I am silly when I say I still and always will miss Bishop, or that I'm silly to love Fancy and we don't loose our minds at the sight or smell of horse poop. On HorseChannel I find down to earth people who share a love for horses. I am a horse fanatic, maybe more than most? I don't think it is treatable, it has taken over my heart. All I have to offer in return is my friendship and a vote:) Hope that will work for now, because here is your vote!!!

Cool! Which horse would you ride?
~*~UPDATE~*~
Today I went over to see Paris. She was at the VERY end of the pasture. She was SO far away!! But I go out there and start walking back towards the barn. She stopped a few times wanting to go back to Izzie (I thought it was spelled Izzy but I saw a peice of paper in the barn that had her name on it that was spelled Izzie. So oh well) But I kept her going. Then Izzie comes cantering up to us! She has a really pretty gait. I would have video taped it but my camera was out of battery. ugh! But she does it all the time so I'll try tomorrow. Anyways, I got on her and started out with our "Big Square" we always do. I w/t her. Then Mom sets up two cones, and I do figure 8s a couple of times in a w/t. Then, she sets up about 4 or 5 trotting poles. And she did good on that! Then I cantered her around one full time around the big square. OH and I did everything WITHOUT spurs:)After that I took her saddle off and rode her around bareback! just w/t. Then I brushed her off and braided her mane in this cool pattern! My mom was playing with Izzie while I was braiding Paris's mane. Izzie is so cute! I wish you could see her in person:)
