Type of Riding: Freckles did it all. Anything you asked of her she would do it in a hearbeat.

My Horse's Achievements: Freckles was one of the greatest horses I had owned. She taught me how to ride, along with many other people. She was used as a broodmare, a show horse, retired to a kid's show horse, lesson's horse, and most of all my best friend.

My Horse's Favorite Treat: Freckles had a thing for those soft peppermints. She would crunch on those all day long if she could.

My Horse's Favorite Things To Do: Freckles loved to be with her best friend pony, Zoe. She liked grassy pastures with no end in site. She loved to go on gallops through fields and most of all she loved to be around people.

Pet Peeves: Freckles didn't get along with other horses very well. She had her favorite horses that she would stick around.

My Horse's motto: Freckles passed away two years ago. She will be remembered in our hearts as the little mare that could. All of Freck's life she had to encounter hard time after hard time. She was abused and then saved. Learning to realize that the soft hands of the humans surrounding her wouldn't hurt her anymore. She was loved, and in return she loved us back. She was the horse that you could go running out to the pasture crying and she would look up and be right there for you when you called. The morning she passed away was a morning I will never forget. She only found ease when she was surrounded by the people who loved her the most. With her head in my lap she slowly passed on to the greenest pastures, the kindest, softest hands, never to be hurt by a human again, to await her best friend, a little, black, shaggy shetland pony named Zoe. We love you so much Ole Boo. You are greatly missed. In memory of Freckles, The All-Time Best Friend there could ever possibly be.

How We Met

The first day I met freckles was the first day I walked into the first stable I had ever been to. She was standing there, not tied to the stall because she had a fear of it, but just standing there with the lead rope attached only to air. My instructor introduced me to her and as she and my dad were talking, I went up to her head and stood right beside her. She lowered her head so we were eye-to-eye. I looked into her big brown eye and felt something I had never felt before. Right then, I knew..She was the one..

Hello this is Mahogany Mac!! I am giving you a vote for such a nice horse and it would be nice to have one back b/c I am running for horse of the day!! Mac and I update our page every day and if you vote for us and we will defiantly vote for you! I think he should be horse of the day because his is a strong horse that always does well in shows. He is always will to learn and if you knew him you would fall in love with him. He follows you around like a puppy and never tries to hurt you.
