How We Met

i decided to go with my family's friend to ride her horses. Lydia knew i wasn't myself lately and thought a little horse riding would help. so i rode her horses and fell in love with her 20 yr. old(about) gelding. he was the sweetest thing! i noticed how i felt after riding lessons with Lydia. i liked how much better i felt, more relaxed and at ease. i didn't feel so lonely. i told my mom and dad on the way home. i told them i wanted a horse of my own. Lydia gave us Dave's phone number. my mom called and asked if he had any good horses. he invited us to come look. when i got there. Comanche was at the back of the stall. she wouldn't come to socialize. i thought nah she isn't like Lydias horse. but she was gorgeous! we went home and Lydia convinced me to keep looking but the more i thought about Comanche being abused and neglected for a month my mom explained she's probably terrified of that happening again. i started to not be able to get Comanche off my mind. so i went downstairs and told my mom "Comanche is the 1" my mom replied "do you think so?" i said yes and we agreed to go back to her. people say things like "oh this is the best day of my life" your reaction is kinda yeah, ok, whatever. but that day she saved me and i saved her. its the best feeling!she has come along was since that day. shes not shy anymore. i walk towards her and exclaim "Comanchee!" she hops up ready for a delicious red apple or sometimes even a new halter. i made a promise to spoil her, but also say no, and love her unconditionally- !.
