If you received a blog from us Friday, I forgot to add in our blog that I did leave your Friday vote.
Friday after school we went to visit Trigg. He does not know us as his people right now. My son, C, had to offer him pulled grass so I could catch him. We got him out and groomed him. He sure is dirty for such a small horse. Trigg kept worrying about where King Kong was. C was having the time of his life. All that matters to him, is his new horsey.

Thanks for all the sweet comments for my son with Scotty (and his various other mounts). This child has a natural love for horses (and other animals too). He gets tickled when I tell him about comments you leave for him. Every now and then he reads them his self. But he is a bit too wiggly to sit here long. LOL.
I love seeing children with horses! So you know I enjoy watching him with Scotty. It has made him so happy to have Scotty here. He is always talking to and petting on Scotty. Scotty has an expression that says he enjoys my son and loves the attention. Scotty is such a sweet natured horse:~)
If you have a sweet natured horse and a cute kid with a special bond, please tell us about them in your blog. I know my son would love to hear about them!

My internet keeps going down, so I'm voting later in the day today. Sadie was so good yesterday. She took the bit, saddled up and even allowed me to mount without any problems. The flies were bad, tho', and she was too interested in Austin cleaning up horsey poop in the yard to care to ride, but she did good. Every now and then, I'd take her over to watch Austin. Austin didn't vote for me yesterday. Said he forgot. Well, he's fired. Took him in and got him registered for school. Taking him tomorrow for his learner's permit. Got to finish up his school shopping, too.... When we got home, I let the girls out of the corral. I held the gate as Sadie ran out. She'd been begging at the gate for days, so I figured I'd give her some free time. As I was waiting for Star, a dust devil blew through. I was in it's path. Sand stung my ankles and, even tho I covered my face, I got a faceful. Been shaking it out of my hair. So sorry about not voting yesterday. Hugs and a Wednesday afternoon vote. It's going to take 6 weeks for Rick's nose to heal. He's taking shots in his stomach because of the blood clot in his neck caused by the accident. He's doing good. Still at his mom's for now. He has another dr. appt. tomorrow. Maybe home this weekend. Thanks for the prayers....RANGO was good. Funny. Going to buy it when it comes out on DVD. The word "hell" is used alot tho'. Hi to all. Sorry I haven't been on in a couple of days. Rick was finally dimissed from the hospital Friday. He's staying at his mom's for a few days. She's taking him to his Dr. appt. Monday. He needs to be on his knees everyday thanking God for saving him. There's no other reason he survived. Angels must've been riding in his trailor, because it survived with only a bent tongue and is still towable. Thanks for all the love and prayers.....I went to Austin's Student Of The Month breakfast Friday and then took him to see RANGO Friday afternoon....Continued prayers for all. Hi to all. Hope everyone had a great St. Patrick's Day. I had horsey time, so mine was great. Had a nice ride on my gorgeous girl, then Austin rode. He's becoming a great cowboy. Loves to ride. He had Sadie chasing the cats and dogs while he rode. That's not good. Teaching her bad habits. She already has enough of those....We left for Williams on Monday. Spent the first night at The Grand Canyon Hotel. That's where I met Razz, a 20hh Belgium Draft horse. I was in awe at this gorgeous guy. Then, I met Rudy, a 1500 pound black percheron. Both are tour horses. Watched the Wild West Show the next morning, then boarded the Grand Canyon Railway to the Grand Canyon. We were entertained on the way with trivia and Jessie, a singing banjo player. He was funny, too. The Grand Canyon is so beautiful. A tribute to God's amazing Glory. The only thing I bought was a refridgerator magnet. The gift shops are expensive as they are everywhere. The train ride back was very eventful. First, Clyde entertained everyone with his singing, guitar playing and funny sense of humor. Then, train robbers chased the train down on horseback. Awesome! After we got back to Williams, we went out to dinner, then stayed Tuesday night at the Days Inn. We took a drive thru Sedona on our way home Wednesday morning. Gorgeous Rock formations.... When we pulled into our driveway, I got out of the car and headed straight for the corral. Had to give the girls hugs. After unloading the car, Austin starting saddling Sadie up, anxious for a ride. The western theme in Williams had him missing the girls, too. If you ever get the chance, this is a vacation you'd love.... Thanks for remembering Lightning and Sadie while I was gone....Still praying for Japan. My heart goes out to all of those people who went thru the horror. Still praying for all on HC. Love you all. Big hi. Congratulations to Beauty on March HOTM. Everyone who ran was a good choice. Hope no one was discouraged and will run, again. Had a nice horsey day. Austin's gotten brave fast. He rode solo for the second time today and was laughing while Sadie trotted. What a nut. I'm sooo glad he likes to ride. Got my tack shed up and filled. Really happy about that, too. Rick got on Star bareback and she stood still, closing her eyes like she was drifting off to sleep. I think it did her some good to be included like that. He sat on her for awhile and then got off hugging her. I brushed both of them, Star and Sadie, not Rick, and both loved it. Lots of carrots today, too. Love to all and a Wednesday vote. Austin climbed in the saddle today, took the reins and had a nice ride on Sadie. I'm SO proud of both of them. Yahoo! I have someone to ride her with me! There was nothing that could be done to save Lightning. He had a fast growing cancer that was eating his face. I decided against the biopsy. I had to let him go. He was put down today a little after 3pm. A part of me went with him. He'll always be my love.......Thanks for being such beautiful amazing friends. Lightning's appointment is for 3 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon. Will do my voting Wednesday night and let everyone know how it went. The infection smells horrible. It steady runs, too. He's at that point now to where he doesn't want me near his face and I don't blame him. Your prayers and caring about him is so appreciated. Love you all.... Sadie was so good about taking the bit today. Rick rode her first today. Bad girl. She didn't want to do anything he wanted her to do. He worked with her, and she was fine for my ride. A quick hi to all. Lightning and the girls celebrated Christmas on Friday. I let them out of the corral and allowed them to eat what hay they wanted, and Austin chased them around the property. They loved it. Sadie curls her tail in a circle when she runs. Lightning seems to feel pretty good. He was running and playing, too. He even felt well enough to butt heads with Rick over the hay, of course. I want to grab the tumor and rip the horrible thing off of his face but would never dare. I hate knowing that's what's going to eventually take him from me, and I'm powerless to stop it. Enjoying him while I can. Love and a Sunday vote.
