Ellie Poor girl.. the only people who ever ride her live an hour away. She's turned snobbish under saddle.. if you make her go faster than a walk, off you go. But she finds things to do with her spare time.. like learn how to unite knots. Anyone who's ever encountered the same system of gates my granddad uses (some thick string is basically all that holds the gate shut) will know that a horse that knows how to untie knots isn't a good thing. She's escaped at least twice, that I know of. She's pretty, though ;-) The last time we went up there, we brought the humongous, hyper- from- an- hour- drive, spazztastic dog. The results were mildly entertaining: Pogo (the above- mentioned dog) refused to have anything to do with the giant, strange, scary creature that may attack at any moment. Ellie kept strectching her head over the fence, eager to investigate this new arrival. Eventually, though, Pogo's curiousity won him over and he belly- crawled over to Ellie. He remained out of jaws- length, smellsmellsmelling the horse. The tail started wagging, Ellie kept pushing her neck a little farther over, until her muzzle touched Pogo. He spazzed and backed away as fast as he could. It may not sound all that funny, but if you were there, it was hilarious. But I must leave for now to go to my brother Aaron's hockey game, so more on the way!!Come visit me, igvh & Ellie May.
