Was no ride for us today. Didnt get out soon enough this morning because before i knew it,it was to 94 out. Way to hot for us. We waited so long for it to be nice, and this is what we get, so no complaining here. Thunder and lighting out pretty good right now, storm warning all around the area, maybe cleared out by tomorrow and we will get our ride in. Leaving a vote. Thanks for stopping by Eddie's page. Yay, Pippin's Snow Jumping video was chosen as featured video of the month! If you haven't seen it go and check it out!
How you all doing? Well, today was interesting. I spent most of it trimming goat hooves and then Pippin's. On his last hoof I slipped with the knife and cut deep into my hand. I'm glad it was his last hoof because I finished it up and then put him in his pen. Had to give him more hay as I bled all over it and I don't think he was too thrilled about it.
I was going to stitch it up but everyone screamed at me and thought I was out of my mind. So, I tried to call the local medical clinic 3x with no answer. So, I called the vet. He said he'd do it. I went there and they all found it quite fascinating. Everyone in the office had to watch! He stitched it up and told me not to mess with my hand otherwise I'd have to wear a collar.:)
The best part? No charge. We're thinking about switching clinics...

Hey! HorseChannel is so much fun! We love meeting new horses! your horse is sooo pretty! xD I am hoping to go out riding today, for a while bareback! Dangers back is soooo warm! Hehehehe! The other horses love to follow us when we ride, if we stay in there pasture! Its so cute when we canter and they all canter, wildly after us! Brrr.... Still its so cold! I cant wait for summer!

Hi, my name is Pippin and I am running for horse of the month in January. I am a cute but feisty miniature stallion and at 31" tall and 200lbs, I can literally pull my own weight! I love going out with my humans and my favourite activities (after eating, of course!) are driving and jumping. But… really I'm game for anything asked of me. Nothing much scares me and I LOVE new and exciting adventures.
Do I have any faults? If you ask me, of course not! I'm perfect! If you ask mama? Well, she doesn't like me nipping her (oh, but it's so tempting!) and she wishes I were better with water. I'm not too keen on baths or puddles.
Next month I will have been on the Horse Channel for 4 years and I'm the oldest active member. I would greatly appreciate your daily votes and support for me all next month. I plan to educate all my fans on the wonders of minis and I hope to highlight one of my movies each day.

It is a very cold and very windy day here in PA :) It was just like this yesterday and so I didn't ride. If the wind dies down I might ride today. I am not much for riding in the wind now the cold I don't mind at all compared to riding in the wind!! Daisy is doing awesome and I am spending time with her. She put a nice rodeo show on for my sister and I yesterday. We were driving by with the lawn tractor and Daisy goes running around and rearing and bucking..it looks so cute and I love watching it because you can tell by her face she is enjoying herself :) Hope you had a great weekend. I did..I was with the youth Saturday and Sunday nights and that is why I wasn't online yesterday (got home around 11 Sunday night and didn't get up very early :D). Here is a vote from Fancy!
Monday evening I went out to spend some quality time with Fancy") I really needed that. We practiced some leg yields and backing with me in the saddle. Fancy was pretty good with the backing. It took a few attempts before she understood the leg yields. It takes a few tries but each time she does them better than the last time. After a few minutes I let her graze and just enjoy some quiet time together.
My saddle is very comfy with the new adjustments. It is easy to keep my heels down and I am not reaching for the stirrup! That felt good! I can't wait to use them for a longer ride and see how my knees feel.
