How are you doing?
Sorry I haven’t been on as much as planned. I have been super busy with school and training Mac. This spring we will be competing in 1st level dressage which is new to both of us and have been working super hard.

Cowboy and Trigger won January HOTM!!!!! And I can't wait to spring it on them when he wakes up!!! Cowboy's will be 12 years old January 7th, this is one of the best early birthday presents ever! I can not call him LITTLE Cowboy anymore, now I shall call him Cowboy. I am sure he will want to go out into the rain to give Trigger treats!

Cowboy's riding skills began to improve and he soon took interest in participating in our local fun shows. I loaded a video on HorseChannel, from his last horse show. Cowboy didn't care what place he won, he just wanted a rainbow of ribbons. At the end of the show, Cowboy & Trigger had their rainbow of ribbons!

March 2011 be brought Trigger to our house for the weekend. Little Cowboy enjoyed having Trigger home, so we never took Trigger back to the farm to live. During the winter months, Cowboy took care of Trigger while Trigger learned that Cowboy was his boy, and Cowboy began learning to ride Trigger. (you know, the way he likes to be handled and not handled. We are still working on that one.) Things were looking GOOD for Cowboy and Trigger!

i'd say hershey chokes maybe once a year or so. usually he coughs for awhile and i can feed him again in an hour. this time he didn't get over it the whole evening. he's so thin that i hate for him to miss a feeding. he has one upper tooth and one lower but both on opposite sides so he can't crush his food. the vet always laughs at him because he picks up hay and "gums" it into a "cigar" shaped wad, then spits it out later. he seems to enjoy it! Good to see Thalia won today....I got the screws for the bridle. They're short but worked. The decorations on the bridle call for long screws, so I kept the one off. Love and a Thursday vote. Today was so hot, I could actually smell the heat. Don't care for those kind of days. I let the girls out of the corral for a while and fed them carrots and refridgerated apples. Poor girls were wet with sweat. Should start cooling down around the first of Oct. Then hope to get a riding partner. Happy Tuesday. Voted. Austin climbed in the saddle today, took the reins and had a nice ride on Sadie. I'm SO proud of both of them. Yahoo! I have someone to ride her with me! i posted some pics from the "go texan day" and rodeo parade that kick off our rodeo. the first is the trail riders arriving friday in memorial park, downtown houston. the others are from the parade on saturday. how 'bout those riders who stand up for the parade?? ouch, to the knees after about 15 minutes! maybe they take a break. Merry Christmas! Hope your holidays are merry! I have a lot of fun wit hmy horses in the snow! want to know what i do? I put the horses in there smaller pasture then i go out in the bog one and make tons of Snowmen! ( of course i got help though!) Then i decorate them with carrots, hay, apples, oats, and lots more treats. I always make sure the apples and carrots are in the snow men sticking out just a little! Then I let the horses out and they go play with the snowmen! They trample on then and run around getting they yummy treats! Try this with your horses and make there Holidays Extra YUMMY! :) MERRY CHRISTMAS! Nickers and votes to you from us!
