Left a vote for Rain! Sorry to everyone I know I wrote I would blog on the 29th of June, but I'm on vacation right now and hadn't had a chance to blog until now, so please forgive me! As for horsey updates. We have the arena finished Regal only hit his head once on a rail and after that he understood that "he can't get outta there!" lol like he'd been doing when we hadn't had all the railing up earlier on. I'm trying to get him to trot within 3 seconds after I give him the leg cue so I'm going leg pressure, if that doesn't work, then cluck twice and if he doesn't go then I will give him a little smack with my lead rope end. I got him to go on the cluck so pretty soon I'm sure he'll get going with just my leg cues. It's funny after he wouldn't move with leg pressure he KNEW the cluck was coming and after that he KNEW the leather popper was coming so as soon as I gave him the slightest cluck he would really get moving before the leather popper. I was watching his ears and they were on me the whole time, so that's great. :) I've taken him on another ride down the road by ourselves he did great! I saw him a lot last week loading and unloading hay out there but only rode him once. He happens to have rain rot on his BACK so I've been treating him for that. I'm using a listerine/apple cider vinegar mix and I could see a difference after just a day. We were supposed to get him moved last week Don said let's load him up but he goes into the house comes back out and then we just left in the truck. I was confused, but I guess he must have had something else to do. As of now, it AGAIN (just like last year) doesn't look like I'll be showing in the fair. I have to wait til I have my own truck and trailer, I don't think anyone can bring him for vet check or practice show. :( So maybe in two years (my senior year) I can show him in fair. I should have a truck and trailer by then. Also the buckskin mare I've been riding has been having issues she will freeze up not move anywhere smacking her on the butt and using a crop do NOT work so the lady lunged the heck out of her while I rode her other mare through the waterways. The buckskin just needs a lot more ground work. I wasn't really aware you have to have pressure on the bit all the time or she'll fly, so we flew. LOL! We're tearing through the waterways and I'm thinking. Please God, let there be NO HOLES!!! At first we were loping then loped right through a hole. Thankfully we didn't go down but after that she wanted to walk for a little bit, lol. I've also been working with my friend and her horse. Kayla didn't know how to be firm with Dusty so now she can do ground work with him and she can boss him around. It's GREAT! She also knows to slap him when he tries to bite. He has just about completely stopped trying to bite! After ground work she rode him around the pasture and it was great to see, she was SO confidant!! Anyway so that's how my horsey life's been going how are you guys?Come visit me, Regal.

What a cute paint. Heres you first vote! Welcome to HORSECHANNEL. Hope you enjoy your time on HC. Its really fun on here, and its good way to meet new Horse people! Just watch out for those fake profiles. It wouldn't be fare to people that have their real horses like yours to not get HOTD (horse of the day) and have someone who made a fake profile get HOTD. Just sayin. Visit anytime, you are always welcome to our barn...Come visit me, Quincy ♥.
