Big Hi! I gave the bag of corn to some neighbors for their cows. They have 2 and sometimes run out of hay. I hear the poor things crying out sometimes. Breaks my heart. Want to help them, but things haven't been the best lately. Will do what I can. I picked up 2 bales of hay Thursday evening and brought them home in the trunk of my Monte Carlo. Sadie plays keep away from everyone when it's time to catch and saddle her. And once you're in the saddle, she wants to go to anyone. She, also, starts her yawning as soon as you get her bridled. Big hi. The weather today was weird. It was really windy. It shook the house at times. It even rained hard for maybe a minute. I didn't ride, but hope to Wednesday. Love being in the saddle. Austin and I dewormed the girls Thurday. They always know something's up when I go out to the corral with their halters. Star's the worst about deworming. She puts up a good fight and is so strong. my profile pic is of godiva, my shetland pony, and magan, who started ridng with me when she was 6. magan has gotten bigger than me and is doing western barrel racing now. i believe the picture was in 2004.

Big hi! I feel so much better after riding Sadie. It was not only good therapy for both of us and Austin, it's a relief to know her summer off from riding didn't turn her into a bad girl. Dwaine's obviosly use to riding horses that have a get up and go about them. I'll talk to him about taking it slower with her. Break her in slowly or have a fight on his hands. She does have spirit. When I got home from work Tuesday night, a horse whinnied in the distance, and she whinnied back. How cute. Hugs and a vote. Have an amazing Wednesday! Had a very nice ride Monday. Sadie was such a good girl. So easy to trot. Austin rode, too. She was completely different with us than she was with Dwaine. She may just need to get to know him better. He's waiting to get his saddle before he rides, again. Anxious to see how she does. @ Marion. I hope HT heals fast . Poor guy. Love and a vote. Daily Whinny
yesterday smooch was tearing around the arena at sunset when i threw the hay out to them. his hoof seemed to be fine. i rode him and sing today and they were both great! smooch was softer at the jaw and i didn't have to keep "see sawing" the reins or holding him up. i made up a tune and kept singing it as i cooled down to keep him relaxed...."there's no fear tonight, it's nice an easy does it", almost like a relaxation chant or something. lol. do you ever do silly stuff like sing or talk to your horse? i imagine i'm not alone. :) i posted pics of my log jump and the tractor tire jump. now you'll know what i'm talking about when i mention them. someone asked who my profile pic is....that's princeton.Come visit me, Sing & Herd.

daily whinny
i rode sing and worked on conditioning again. i'll keep doing this until we get up to trotting for about 20 minutes non stop (if i can take it!). i've been doing jillian michael's 30 day shred phase 1 this week. lol. i may not do it today since i have 20 bales of hay to unload. found this for $8.95 a bale.
i lunged peach since she hadn't been ridden all week. she did good, even sprinting into a gallop and bucking!Come visit me, Sing & Herd.

hey! your horse is VERY cute :~) sorry for not responding sooner to your blog :~) her training is going slow.... i have a problem, i didn't really think about what i was doing when i bought her, my friend kinda pushed me into it and now i dont really feel like training her, becasue i'd rather retrain spoiled ponies and/or teach big horses NEW things, instead of teaching babies... i dont no why but i KNOW i could make her into a really gr8 horse if i would really put my mind to it. it's not that i dont have time , i have plenty, i'd just rather ride sweet pea :~) so if you have any advice......PLEASE I'D LUV TO HEAR IT!!!!! :~)sorry for blabbing on lik this but i need sum advice :^) oh, and it's not that flicka's stubborn, she VERY willing to please!!! Big hi. While I was at work friday evening, Austin went out to feed and water the girls. He found a roadrunner flopping around in the water trough. He got it out and stayed with it, petting and talking to it until it was able to run away. Poor thing has been living in our backyard. Was so relieved to see him, again, Saturday. Proud of Austin. I asked what Sadie did while he tended to the roadrunner. He said she just stood there and watched. Wonder what she was thinking? Hugs and a vote.
