Happy Saturday!
I just discovered that they put a riding helmet as one of the gifts you can redeem for Horse Channel points! I was going to buy a new one soon, because my current one is banged up, but now I won't have to because I've almost got enough points to redeem for it. I really want that helmet.

A few months ago I began a part time job. Well, that is more like full time now. As you have noticed my irregularity on HC, I am pressed for time and energy. Lately, I have fallen asleep at the computer and I don't know how I have not fallen out of this chair. LOL! When I am mentally and physically able, I will leave a vote for each of your profile pages. There may be several times that I will only vote for one page. If you have a preference as to which page I leave the main vote on, please let me know and I will try to do that for you.

♡ what a beautiful weekend in Texas! 70 Saturday and 74 Sunday. Friday after work I was going to get Cliff to ride with me to pick up Jason and had a blow out about a mile from my house-wow. I was thinking at that point maybe this isn’t starting out so good! I was an hour late picking him up. After that everything went really well. I love hearing Jason say Deacon, Whiskey and Rockets names in that 2 ½ year old voice!!! So cute. He petted and helped us feed Friday and Saturday. I didn’t ride until after we took Jason back Sunday morning. Got home and rode Deacon for several hours around the house. It was so beautiful!!! I hope everyone had a nice weekend and I am wishing these nice temps to move your way!!! Happy MLK Day as well…

What a glorious time of year! Sorry we have been so busy. Now I can tell you about our Christmas holiday. It was filled with Christmas play practice, eating, shopping, & cooking. The usual things :) The only fun horsey time we have enjoyed has been running out the back door to feed them quick snacks through each day. That has really helped Trigger to stop running away from me. LOL. This was my first Christmas attending our candle light service. I enjoyed that and plan to make it part of my future Christmas traditions. Christmas dinner was the best ever! My sister helped my mom cook! I helped do little things like prep and put stuff in place, etc. Christmas night, we drove to a nearby town to see the light show. They have made several improvements and it was the best light show yet.
We look forward to reading about your 2012 Christmas. As we visit your pages, we enjoy all the Christmas photos and holiday avatars. I hope you enjoyed some horsey time somewhere along the way.

Going to saddle up on a day off next week.... Sadie has a photo shoot Saturday morning. It was rescheduled for 7 am. A friend and her sister are surprising their dad with the pictures for Christmas. Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you are having a wonderful and happy Thanksgiving. I hope you're enjoying lots of good food with your family and friends. We have much for which to be thankful. And we just ate our BIG meal and are stuffed!

I am lucky to have such great friends as you who love me even though I'm so bad about getting online and writing. I miss you and just wish I had more time to write. Sigh! Such is life…

I treasure your friendship and even though I'm not always around I think of you often. Thank you for being there for me!

I'm also very grateful to have another horse living with us now. Eddie's been here for 2 months now but he's so settled in it seems like we've had him forever. He and Pippin are great friends but with their size difference and their perky personalities I don't trust them to be alone together. So, Eddie has a smaller fenced in section of Pippin's big day pen and they spend lots of time right against each other with the fence in between. And yes, Pippin is boss!

We walk them together with the dogs and they drive their own carts. Eddie takes 2 steps while Pippin takes 20. They are adorable! And we keep stopping traffic! hehe

Ok I'd like to tell everyone that I am sorry that I haven't been on as much. I was planning on getting on every weekend but then Joy's cancer came back and life got super busy.
Joy is doing good. She is home until the Wednesday after Thanksgiving and then she will be going back to the hospital for more chemo. Hopefully, she'll be home for Christmas. After Christmas she is gonna have her bone marrow transplant and then we will move up back by the hopsital. Joy is doing good. She is running around and being full of trouble.
The horses are doing pretty good. Sugar and Ransom seem to be doing better with each other. They don't really pick fights with each other anymore and they seem to enjoy each others company. However, they don't like the donkeys we got.
We got some donkeys (two of them a jenny and her foal) last Saturday. The mama's name is Angela and the foal's name is Elva. They are both settling into life here very well. I'm gonna to make a profile on here for them.

Wow, what a lot of wonderful blogs I read today. There sure is a lot going on. It was windy here today so we played with our huskies. Fancy and Trigger sure seem to be enjoying this weather. I feed Trigger in the stall now so Fancy will not take his grain. As Trigger eats in peace Fancy gives him the mean look. After I let him out, Fancy checks for anything he has left behind, then she chases him for eating it all up. Silly mare.

we're having great weather here! 40's overnight, high 60's during the day. i rode peach bareback today. she was really good. i didn't canter because my back aches a bit when i do too much. she's pretty bouncy.

flying the flag again for "official" veterans day.
had a good work day, then came home to ride buttercup. i put signs up last week (to advertise the stable) and today started getting calls. we'll see who actually comes out. praying! the lesson saturday with the 2 sisters went well. the parent is trying out several different lesson barns. that will be very gratifying if she chooses me! lol. i'll keep you posted.

I have been trying to fit so much into so few hours, I forgot to mention a special cousin who fought in the Vietnam War. War is hard on these young men and women and the older military personal as well. Take time to reach out and Thank A Vet Today ♥

We were blessed with a beautiful warm Sunday Veterans Day ride and plenty of spirited horses! There was just enough breeze to keep you from gettin hot. However, when the sun went down it began to cool off. Throughout the day I thought of our HorseChannel Veterans Day ride.

I got in late last night, I worked on some photos until midnight. By then I was so worn out I had to get some sleep.

I hope you gals and guys are saddling up Saturday and/or Sunday in support of our Veterans. People who give or gave their lives for others each day they served, when they really did not have to do so. Wow, what amazing people they are.

My granddad was in WWII and my oldest son has served in the Afghanistan wars, working on communications devices. I have one cousin serving in the navy, that was injured during the attack against the United States Navy destroyer USS Cole on October 12, 2000.

We all are affected by the military in some way.

Now I'm having HC problems...Thanks. Susan and Sing sent the blankets to Sadie and Star. Susan's so sweet.....Another good riding day. My sweet friend, Sandra, came over. I rode first, then, Sandra rode. I took the saddle off of Sadie and gave her a break, then Jessica came over to ride. After a good workout, Jessica took the saddle off and rode Sadie bareback. Sadie was great. She's awful when it comes to groundwork, but great once that saddle and bridle are on. Hugs and a vote.
