My Horse's Achievements: Willie and I have successfully schooled training level, and some prelim eventing. For me, it's amazing, because it's the highest I've schooled, but for Willie, it's even more wonderful. His personality shows so much when we jump, and despite his size, he truly soars.
My Horse's Favorite Treat: Carrots, are most definitely Willie's favorite treat. He'll eat pretty much anything, but carrots are at the top of his list.
My Horse's Favorite Things To Do: He absolutely loves to jump. It doesn't matter what it is, he'll jump it. Simply put, Willie loves to work. If he was just kept at pasture all day and ridden once a week or so, he would be very unhappy.
Pet Peeves: Willie hates it when he is not given attention. He is a high maintenance horse when it comes to attention, and without it he develops bad habits, like raking his teeth and incessant pawing, plus snapping and kicking.

How We Met
In June of 2006 I had to put my Thoroughbred mare, Livia, down due to colic. When I got back from work at the end of June, my trainer asked me if I could ride Willie for her a few times a week, to keep me in shape, and to get Willie used to be ridden by someone else, since my trainer had been riding him for months while he was on the market. Also because he tried to buck off the last person to try him out. About mid-way through July, I realized that I had found a wonderful partner and friendin Willie, and to this day I blame my trainer for alterior motives when asking me to ride him. We discussed options with the owner, because they were asking a lot, and we decided to almost halve the price and give me a month to work with him to make sure I would work well with him. I didn't have to wait much longer than a few days, and on September 1, 2006 he was officially mine..

For a small horse he looks awesome over the cc jump in the response you made re: excessive punc. i never know what everything is called, very low tech here. makes me think of theodore o'connor. love the little horses with the big jump and big heart. i did a clinic with philip dutton on my ott thor mare at blue ribbon meadows in katy a few years ago. it's so exciting to "fly"! she loves it and is very bold. i, however, am old and tired and must simply bridge my reins and hang tight. lolCome visit me, Sing & Herd.

hey thatnks for the critique with comella.. yeah i think i do get ahead of her sometimes :/ yeah i usually dont shorten my stirrups for jumping i keep them around average length, now that im actually getting to jump i'll try that!
and your horse is beautiful!!! whats stadium jumping? pro jumper or A-rated shows? sounds "eventful!" and how well are you with the dressage? comella is very sensitive to my legs at times and i think she would be good w/ dressage>Come visit me, *PATCHES*, **MY BARN JUMPERS <33**, Granits <3RIP<33, Comella****5****, ~*page for Beezie Madden*~, Kismet -my trainers horse* & *sconondoa equestrian center*.

hi
i have a AQH and he loves to jump and go fast. he also does speed. jodie loves to get attention and every time hes stalled he needs lots of work to settle him down. jodie is an ex-eventer but i still do jumping and training level dressage on him. just a funny story- i was at state and cleaning out jodies stall and my mom said that he was getting to skinny. i replied that he was the perfect weight, and as soon as i said that he turned and hit me with his butt. then he looked at me and gave me a look that said thats what you get. hope you have fun eventing and good luck : )Come visit me, King's Spanish Bar, Grand Beauty, Bar Diamond Blue & buckshot.
