The last show we went to together was April 13th. It was an open show for all breeds and all ages.

pretty horse!!!! I'd love to be friends!
Today I tried a western saddle on Comanche and he did great! Then took him on a gallop! so much fun!!!! I want to teach him to neck reign and so far he is starting to get the hang of two hand neck reigning a few more days and he'll get it even better:) Pride also did great he lunges like a pro now!

Another horse
I have another horse named Captain. He was a rescue and my mom and I rehabilited him. He is good now and I am training him. He is only 5 years old but learns quickly. Should I put his profile on here? Opinions please.

Thank you so much! Deacon is kicking up his heals with joy! That (HOTD)picture was taken at Mccown Valley Lake Whitney Texas-he loves to ride there. There is 3200 achers to ride with camp gounds for horses. There are stalls and pinic areas at each cite. Wonderful place and Deacon is relaxing and grazing before we took off riding again! Couple of shows
We have now done 2 shows this year. They were fun. One was an open show and we got 2nd in English Equitation, 3rd in English Pleasure, and 1st in Trail.
The other was a 4H Show. We got 2nd in everything which was English Pleasure Walk/trot open, English pleasure 3 gaited, English Equitation, and Trail. We kept losing to the same person but I don't care. It was great to be there having a wonderful time with my horse.

last year
Last year 2011 show year, Rosie and I went to lots of shows. The jumping horse show places I went to were good. I just found out we won our division and got 4th in Equitation through out the year. I love Rosie for who she is. I am very proud of her!Come visit me, Lovely Rosie & Sir Captain.

Rosie's Update
Rosie is in a fall coat now. She is getting ready for winter. I know it is getting colder and it makes sense, but she is a bit early. I think it may be going to be a hard winter than normally this year.
Our last show was this last Sunday. It was a jumping show.
We got through a cross rail class well. We got 2nd in both of our flat classes.

I gotta tell you the funny thing I saw this morning! When I went out to feed Fancy, 3 small kittens that we adopted were all in Fancy's corral in different places. Two of them ran out to meet me. Fancy helped them out with a spirited chase. The smallest of the kittens was at the base of the big tree in Fancy's corral. Fancy looked at it and ran to chase it too. When she got to it, that kitten ran around the tree! You should have seen Fancy looking around that tree for that kitten, It was soo funny. It looked like they were playing hide-n-seek! Finally the kitten ran into the stall and when Fancy lost interest, the kitten ran out. What a silly horse.
You gotta tell me about something really silly that your horse has done. I look forward to reading that!
My brother rode King yesterday for the first time. He said he walks very slow and he likes him. My brother seems very excited about his new horse. King is getting some grain now. Before he was only getting hay. I hope he can gain some more weight. He is kind of thin.

As Paula says it,"Horses are healers" Now my brother may have his healer. Thanks for welcoming King to HC with your awesome comments and with HOTD! I was surely surprised I called my brother just now to tell him. He says "THANKS!" He got the news as he is riding King for the fist time right now as I type. I am jealous, they didn't call me!!!!!! You all are so sweet to us and we totally think you guys are the best, love you with a really big hug!
When my brother said he was ready for another horse, I was very excited and happy! The lady said King is least 16HH and he was vetted in May, which was good for us because he is up to date on vaccines and a new coggins.
Friday morning Fancy was stiff from the rabies vaccine she got Thursday. Good thing we had Bute left from the time she had a reaction to the vaccines she had months ago. I gave her the Bute, it helped. I did spend Friday walking her around to eat grass to loosen up her body. I walked her 1 1/2 hours several times Friday and Saturday. In her corral she stands in one spot when she is not feeling well. And then the stiffness and swelling get worse.
Saturday Fancy was not very stiff, we trailered to the farm where King is. We had them on leads and let them graze for a few hours.
When I got home, some old horseriding pals came by on horseback! One guy rides a Percheron cross and she is huge and beautiful! The other guy rides a well behaved paint. Fancy wanted to ride out with them. She was doing her little gaited thing all over that corral and pitching a fit. She looks at me like she is saying, "LET'S GO, RIGHT NOW!!!" Well maybe we will get some good long rides in soon!

Thanks for helping us meet our goal! I actually wasn't on last week because it was fair week! We won the day of the horse show, too! We placed 5th in showmanship out of about 12, 2nd in trail, and everyone in my horsemanship class got DQed for doing the pattern wrong! I was kinda mad! But I did graet with my pigs-a 1st with my gilt (girl) and a 3rd with my barrow (boy) in my wight classes! Nothing with my steer though...anyway! Riding lesson

We did 2 Equitation classes. My horse was very good and I was riding pretty well too.

Play Day on 8/16/2011
It was just for fun! My horse and I are not perfect and that is okay. We do other shows too. This was a playday and we just enjoyed ourselves. Here are our times in case you want to know:
Barrels= 23.88 seconds
Poles= 32 seconds
Keyhole was the game= 15 seconds.
We had a nice time and love each other, that is what matters.

Fallon Playday
I won my classes but there weren't very many people in them. I was just having fun!
Rosie and I were rusty because we have not done this type of thing for about 2 years. This is how we did:
Yesterday
Barrels- time of 27.6 seconds
Game of speed barrels with a potato on a spoon-23 secs.
Pole bending- Our second best time we have ever got and we were in a new place. 31.6 seconds.

Sagebrush Show
I went to my 3rd Sagebrush Show last weekend. It was the last one they will have this year. I had fun!
Here is how we did:
5th in English Equitation
3rd in Trail
1st in Gambler's Choice Trail

Thank you so much for congratulating Pippin on his win for horse of the day. It's always nice when it's a surprise. To celebrate I gave Pippin a thorough wash, cleaned all his harness, and took some video of him running in the forest. He's looking great in his summer coat and he has many new spots again this year. Especially on his face.
A couple of dogs, including Melian, and one of the cats got washed too. I guess it was wash day!
Pippin is a really good boy. We had him loose in our unfenced half of the property yesterday so we could film him and he took off a couple of times with Melian at his heels but came right back when we called him. It was about 100 degrees but he was reasonably patient and reared for pieces of bread, played dead, and rolled around on the gravel. I think he has resigned himself to the fact that he lives with weird people and he just has to go along with them!
