For those of you who knew H.T. when we first started on HC, he was quite a show horse in his days. He has numerous awards and championships with Quarter Horse and probably over 600 lifetime points with Palomino Horses. Each day I will fill you in a little more about his days as a young yearling coming to live with me and up until his untimely death, as some of you remember all to well!
Today was an at home day. Didn't go down and see Paige, she's doing well. I got a great video of her on thursday, have it on the computer, but not in a program that I can download to HC, I'm bummed about that! It was with my friends camera not mine! Boys were out in the indoor for playtime. Eye is a light color magenta with yellow highlights and looking much better, itchy now, that means the stitches are ready to almost come out and it's healing well. Will be a scar however! Sorry I could not blog or vote Friday due to site problems. I thought I would have time to blog and vote Saturday, but when I returned from my horsey activities it was time for me to get ready for the next activity. We didn't get home till after 12am. I am here now.
Today I will tell you about our Fabulous Friday and next blog I will tell you about our Superb Saturday!
Friday January 13.
Friday was nothing but beautiful in NC, but it was very, very cold. I thought about taking the braids out of her mane. But my fingers were cold.
I took Fancy to the farrier Friday morning to be sure her feet were good for the winter. All was good with her little horsey feet.
We returned from the farrier, I wanted some exercise, so I took Fancy with me for a walk around the neighborhood. She was very calm. There were plenty of puddles for her to walk through and she did not try to avoid any one. We walked through the car wash a few times, went up and down a small wall on the side of a street. We went in between objects that were just laying around. We went to the park and Fancy still remembers how to walk up the steps at the park. People looked at us like crazy when we went up the steps. LOL! Then we walked in between the swings. Of course the swings were empty. LOL. At the many sites we would stop for grass, they have built habitat houses. There are 3 more in progress. They have some boards set on the ground to walk across the mudd. We walked across the boards. That was fun because one of them was like a teeter. Fancy didn't even care long as I was beside her. She had to think twice when a huge yellow city work truck came by. They were very nice and went by very slowly. I talked to her and she did stand with me until it passed. Then I told her what a good girl she was and we went on our way. Well it was a fine time we had, but my feet were freezing! Fancy would stand in the deeper puddles and splash water with her feet. I told her it was a might bit cold for that business. But I had to pull her out of them. At least she likes water. LOL. My silly girl.

The rain lasted for 3 days. The corral's so messy. Going to take a while to dry out. I let the girls out and spent some time with them Thursday. I think Sadie's jealous. She bullies Star when I'm around. Trying to get her to stop it. She understands some things, like a firm no, but has to be in the mood to listen. Big butted brat, but a pretty one. Love and a vote. *~*~*~*PERSONAL UPDATES*~*~*~*
FARM: Yesterday, the barn "sisters" and the owner, manager, and instructor of the barn came. We discussed leasing. Go ahead and take a guess at who I'm leasing! Yep, it's Passion of course! I am leasing him from now until the end of September!
SCHOOL: I am in a club called TIO (Talk It Out), which is a peace-influenced group where mediators help others with a conflict. We had a fieldtrip today, that means no school for me! The best part was... Okay; so I was in a harness which was hooked to a rope. I went up 64 feet before pulling the swing and ZOOMing backwards! It was scary, but fun too.
OTHER: My school is separated in to strands B and D. I'm in B (the tougher strand) and I have a friend in D who I haven' seen in AGES since the separation of strands, and we're finally hanging out this weekend!

Rode Lilly yesterday, she was pretty good, but really lazy. I’m probably gonna get some Tom Thumbs out next time I ride so she will pick up her canter easier and act like a hunter, not a western pleasure horse!

Out break of EHV-1 in 6 Western states.he states affected so far are Arizona, Utah, California, Idaho, Washington and Colorado. The infected horses had all attended a National Cutting Horse Assoc. show in Utah in early May. Several horses have already been euthanized.
Glad Lilly and I are safe in NC. All those involved are in our thoughts.

SPROCKET AND FRIENDS UPDATE
Sprocket - Rode for an hour just walk trot though. He was very energetic despite the heat because someone had left jumps in the arena and he broke into a canter and tried to get close to them as soon as we passed 'em. Wait I did let him gallop around the arena full speed for about five minutes at the beginning of the ride since he wanted to run so bad so it wasn't actually just walk trot.
Fawn/Sizzler – gave 'em each a piece of carrot since I didn't have time to take them out.

Well me and Cookie took our first ride of the year, and things went really well. We only went about a mile out and then back. She was so busy being nosey about everything, i had to keep reining her to stay in the road, or we would have ended up somewhere out in the middle of the woods.
LOL She was just so into the ride herself it was funny. I thought she might be a little tender footed having just been trimmed, but she was great. You can see the ride in new pictures posted. Here we are, happily drying out after the rains again! Here is a soggy Wednesday vote. Kinda cool in NC today too.
The horse of the day yesterday was Lexus #208256. You can visit her page but the main photo still isn't showing for me.
Fancy and I thank and appreciate each friend that loved Tirnanog with us. I deleted Tirnanog's profile page yesterday, because it has been on mind to do so before Fancy's 3rd birthday. It is done. Fancy and I will remember Tirnanog with and in our future adventures.
