How We Met
My friend Sharon was going to have her at her place for a month to train her for a friend who was going to sell Daisy after the month was up because Daisy hadn't been ridden for over a year. Sharon was like hey you should buy her and I was like weeellll I am not even lookin for a horse but I said I am going to talk to my parents and so on and see what they say. My dad and mom said yes so I got her :) Daisy is my second horse. I didn't own a horse for only 1 month between the time I gave my first horse away and Daisy. (My first horse was Navajo a ghost appaloosa and I had given him away..a year after I had given him away the people that had him put him down on February 12, 2012). I know I am so blessed to have a second horse in my life!!
She had her second baby (first baby since I have her) on April 25th 2012. His name is Spring's Freedom!! He is a brown and white pinto colt that I plan to train myself.

Today is the last day for the next week that I will be able to leave normal daily blogs and votes for a few days. My oldest son is visiting from Kabul. We pick him up at the airport Sunday!!! Today is his 31st birthday! We will be out cramming all we can into a few days. I will not have much computer time. I will try to vote contest each day and I will try to help with the newsletter on Thursday.

A few months ago I began a part time job. Well, that is more like full time now. As you have noticed my irregularity on HC, I am pressed for time and energy. Lately, I have fallen asleep at the computer and I don't know how I have not fallen out of this chair. LOL! When I am mentally and physically able, I will leave a vote for each of your profile pages. There may be several times that I will only vote for one page. If you have a preference as to which page I leave the main vote on, please let me know and I will try to do that for you.
Trying to do many things is wearing me down. There have been so many things that have crossed my mind that I wanted to mention or ask you about, but by the time I get to my blog, I can not remember those things. I am going to try and write things down before I forget them.

Hi Ruth Ann, Daisy & Freedom! It definitely makes me happy knowing Koot was happy. That's half the reason I enjoy shows and trail rides..because I know he loves it so much :)
My friend and I took our horses out to roll and stretch their legs last night and they were having the best time running around like crazy! I ponied one of the other horses from where Koot lives, so the three of them were having a blast. They ran so much that we ended up having to go on a trail ride at night to get them to cool off lol. on day 8th of 2013 i did a bareback ride on buttercup. a little W/T and practice halting, which she hates. i'm trying to keep it going but today is a trecherous rainy day. the covered arena has alot of wet spots along the rail and corners where rain has blown in. don't know if i want to wade out there and jump on someone's back or not! we'll see. i came home early from work and called my patients i didn't make it to visit to tell them i'd come tomorrow. thanks for voting for my smooch for hotm. Hi Daisy, here's a vote for ya. Well, I broke down and went for the x-rays today. I slept on my side last night, guess I rolled over in a sound sleep and that wasn't good. I woke up in a lot of pain. Hello RuthAnn and Daisy, today I was over at my grandma's house until 4:00. Me and Josiah and Jason (4 and 2) biked over (I pulled the kiddykart behind me) yesterday morning.
When we came home, I led Kayla around on Flicka a little, and gave SweetPea some attention.

Yesterday I borrowed one of Sharon's horses, Speedy, and me and Kayla went riding for an hour and a half. We cantered a lot and she really liked it. I hope we can do it again soon.

Thanks for the good luck Ruth Ann :) I think we did pretty well for our first show in two years. We placed in three of the six events :) we got 1st in Poles 1, 3rd in Speedball, and 3rd in Figure 8 ball drop so not too bad! And Koot was so so HAPPY. I visited Koot today and gave him some yummy oatmeal as a special treat and he loved it. He literally licked the bowl lol. I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Voted. After church today Young Cowboy and I finally enjoyed HorseTime! Most of my time was taken removing mudd from horses, but I enjoyed every minute! Finally to ride! I did not ride Saturday with friends because I had not ridden in weeks and I do not like to take Fancy out when I have not worked with her.
Young Cowboy is very excited for his 12th birthday tomorrow!
The changes to HC are very nice. I am happy to see it does not look like we have lost any friends here.
Well, I better hurry to bed, we have another big day coming :)

Hi Daisy, here's a vote for ya. Got the kids out into the indoor for some free play time today. I was able to pull Paige's blankets and let her really run it out! But Indy's so much bigger and his heavy weight blanket is too much for me. So he just went in like that, but he don't run anyhow. He follows me around like a big puppy dog. So at least I got a little exercise also! LOL! It's hard to groom them also, have to wait on that too! Gosh, I hate this! Love ya, Marion and the blondies. Come visit me, Nuttin But Good. Hi Daisy, here's a vote for ya. Felt about 1% better today. I did get the horse's out one at a time into the indoor for play time. Of course putting their SMB boots and bell boots on was a challenge! Indy was a dream, Paige I don't trust yet, she'll move all of a sudden and I can't move fast at all. LOL! Kevin took a dozen bales of hay down on the tractor for me. Do you still have both the girls? and both of the babies, all tho they don't look like babies now, are you still baking? I'm feeling much better about the changes today. I can live with it the way it is now. It is not anywhere as confusing as DC became. Today was a laundry and housework day, tomorrow is a hang out and play day. I actually like this new layout a lot!!! It looks nicer and is simple to get around. I'm so glad it's not like DC. Hope everybody still stays. If not, we have email.
Thursday, I rode Sweet Pea w/ the Western saddle with Sharon and somebody else. We rode for about an hour-with lots of cantering. We galloped up one field lane-that was SO much fun!
Last night I played guitar over at Sharon again. Tons of fun.
Today is beautiful-I really need to work w. the snaffle and english saddle again, with SweetPea and maybe get Kayla to sit on Flicka again. We are starting her off just with Kayla (9) and getting her used to weight and commands from the person riding her. Hopefully by her 3rd b-day (May 26) I can ride her.

Cowboy and Trigger won January HOTM!!!!! And I can't wait to spring it on them when he wakes up!!! Cowboy's will be 12 years old January 7th, this is one of the best early birthday presents ever! Good Morning! How has your week been? I am back on normal schedule until New Years. Along with cold temps, much needed rains have finally returned to North Carolina. We had quite a few days of rain and are expecting more throughout the upcoming week. We need some snow at our house this year! I know some areas are covered with snow! If snow is at your house, please be careful as you go about your daily activities. Today is a sunny day, but I was hoping to get some much needed horsey time. I have soo much to do today, I don't know what will happen. Fancy needs more of my attention than running out with a treat throughout the day.

What a glorious time of year! Sorry we have been so busy. Now I can tell you about our Christmas holiday. It was filled with Christmas play practice, eating, shopping, & cooking. The usual things :) The only fun horsey time we have enjoyed has been running out the back door to feed them quick snacks through each day. That has really helped Trigger to stop running away from me. LOL. This was my first Christmas attending our candle light service. I enjoyed that and plan to make it part of my future Christmas traditions. Christmas dinner was the best ever! My sister helped my mom cook! I helped do little things like prep and put stuff in place, etc. Christmas night, we drove to a nearby town to see the light show. They have made several improvements and it was the best light show yet.
We look forward to reading about your 2012 Christmas. As we visit your pages, we enjoy all the Christmas photos and holiday avatars. I hope you enjoyed some horsey time somewhere along the way.

Hey ruthAnn and herd, here to wish you a very happy and blessed CHRISTmas. Don't forget the true meaning of Christmas-Jesus came down to Earth as a Man, and later He died for our sins.
This Christmas could be sad. My grandpa (my Mom's dad) has lung cancer, as most of you know, and he is very very sick. Last night we were all there and we said 'good-bye' to him. He wanted to die, he had so much pain. Well, he didn't, and Mom is over there this morning. He had a beautiful prayer last night, asking protection for all those who travel for his funeral, and he said several times "Jesus, please!" I don't want him to suffer, yet it will be a sad Christmas for my grandma if he passes away. At least he will be in Jesus' arms with no pain. ♥
Tonight, we are going to have a candlelight supper, then open our gifts, like we usually
do. I don't know yet what we are doing Christmas day. Mom is pregnant and due any day, now, so anything could happen :)
I went riding and ponied Flicka yesterday with Sharon. We ran a lot and it was really nice. I hope I get to ride on Christmas day.
I'm listening to Christmas music (Casting Crowns) on Pandora.com and its so beautiful!!
