I SO wanted to ride out with some friends today, but the weather man predicted rain. Guess what? I only saw a few drops, so we missed a great day for a ride. Perhaps we can have this ride next weekend. Fancy and I will enjoy riding with My brother's no-name horse a lot more now that he is no longer a stallion. When we finally have our first ride together, we are going to choose a name for him. I can't wait to finally give him a name and share this with you all.

Here is a vote from Fancy!
Monday evening I went out to spend some quality time with Fancy") I really needed that. We practiced some leg yields and backing with me in the saddle. Fancy was pretty good with the backing. It took a few attempts before she understood the leg yields. It takes a few tries but each time she does them better than the last time. After a few minutes I let her graze and just enjoy some quiet time together.
My saddle is very comfy with the new adjustments. It is easy to keep my heels down and I am not reaching for the stirrup! That felt good! I can't wait to use them for a longer ride and see how my knees feel.

Queenie and Fancy today??? Well, Queenie poured her dog food out of the bowl onto the floor of her dog house and tossed the bowl everywhere. Sooner or later it ended up in Fancy's corral. Fancy pushed it around and played with it. Every time Fancy would get near that bowl Queenie would bark her head off until Fancy decided to go and play with something else. Fancy kept coming back to play with the bowl and Queenie kept barking. I decided to leave that bowl in Fancy's corral until morning. Maybe Queenie will keep it to herself next time. Or maybe not. Queenie's tennis ball and her basketball are in Fancy's lot too.

Sunday's vote and blog from Fancy.
Hope everyone has enjoyed a great weekend! We did the 5K Hawg Run Saturday morning (my husband ran and I took pictures) and a birthday cookout for a friend Saturday evening. In between activities I did get to vote for friends in VHS contest♥
This Afternoon Fancy worked on her geeing, hawing, and some setting up. Whew, It is almost time for bed and ready for our weekly routine.

Fancy gliding by with a sunny skies are back in NC soon vote! I am glad you took Dusty in to love and care for her. She is gorgeous, I love her beautiful color!!! JUst wait till she is up to par. You will have a very nice horse. How could anyone mistreat such lovely creatures?
I am so glad I took the chance to ride Fancy Wednesday evening. I practiced on riding different speeds in the corral and then we came out. Fancy was too eager to go out. Hoping she would calm down, I rode her up and down the street at her pace a few times. Her pace was very fast, LOL. This was the fasted I have ever ridden her yet! It was amazingly smooth and comfortable to ride. Even though it felt faster than a trot, there was No posting. Then I let Fancy determine our path and speed. She went around the block, just like we always do. I opened our mailbox from her back and she didn't pay that any attention! She started a second trip, Half way up the street I turned around and headed home. It took a while to get her up to the gate so I could get my lead rope off the fence while I was still on her back. But we finally did that too. Fancy was groomed while she ate grass and then she had her grain and it was good night.
There are so many entries in VHS now. We are leaving votes for our friends each day!!!
