✞ “HAPPY FATHERS DAY” I was playing whinny warz and stumbled across the horse shoe. Someone years ago was trying to explain it in a blog and I tried it and it worked! Sometimes when I play warz I see a horse I want to research so I look them up. That’s how I found this so here is how to do it: & Omega ; leave out the spaces of course and make sure the “O” is capital!! I would rather have horse shoes facing up cuz I grew up with the old saying that a horseshoe that direction is bad luck~ had our grandson Jason over last night. He is such a ham! Deacon loves kids and he just totally melts and gets so soft. His eyes even soften. Do you know what I mean-have you ever watched your horse try to shrink and get small so he can love kids? I don't know if Sadie loves watermelon better than carrots. Cold watermelon is a wonderful way to help battle the heat...Sadie got her new 50 gallon, Rubbermaid watering trough Thursday. The metal one she was using developed holes in the bottom. It was rusting, too. I didn't think it was suppose to rust. She drank and made funny swishing noises while I filled it. Silly girl. I scrubbed the old one out. It's still in the corral, because I'm going to use it to feed her in. She was moving it around. Probably wondering why it was empty. So nosy. So hot here. Triple digits. Humidity will hit us soon... Friends came over Wednesday evening. Jessica rode Sadie first. She gave her a good workout. Then, 3 of my other friends got good rides on her, too. One's going through a rough time. She looked so sad until she got on Sadie. She wore a big smile during her ride. Amazing how a horse can lift your spirits...I rode last. I could feel the heat from Sadie through the saddle. What a good girl Sadie was. She bucked a couple of lazy times with Jessica. She didn't like needed workout she got. So thankful for Jessica and love to watch her ride. Sadie ran and played afterward. She felt great. Didn't want to be put back in the corral. I gave her cold watermelon and carrots. Her favorite treats. Plan to get together with everyone, again, next Wednesday for more rides. Love and a vote. everyone (except peek) got their shots and floats yesterday. it was brutally hot. the ponies even left their turn out area and came into their shelter (no food there) to stand in the shade. they have never done that before. peek/godiva's respiratory rate was 64! I took everyone into the covered arena and hosed them off and let them stand in the nice breeze that was coming through. this morning godiva's rate is 18 and peek is 40. Come visit me, Sing & Herd.

Going to look for Sadie another misting system. I bought her a portable one last summer. She pulled it down and chewed it in half. Will have to figure out how to put it up so her big behind can't get to it. She's a busy one. She has her new fly mask on. Holding my breathe. She's terrible about tearing those up, too. Had some Sadie time today. We both need it everyday. It's getting hot here, so I didn't ride. I put the halter on her and walked her off the property. She was a little nervous, so we took it slow, stopping when she needed to to look around and see that she was okay. Neighborhood dogs were barking at us. She walked a little fast on the way back to the house. Had to keep stopping her to slow her down. She loved it. Going to walk her more often to get her use going off the property. Going to work up to riding her. Last time I rode her off the property, she was nervous and wanted to fight me. She should trust me more now. Hugs and a vote. Went out to check on Sadie when I got home from work last night. She'd torn her fly mask off. It lasted 10 days. Hope to someday move away from the egg ranch. The flies are horrible. I hope all of you moms had a beautiful Mother's Day. I had to work, but didn't mind. Being a mom and loving my sons and they loving me in return is what makes it so special. An emotional week this week. My oldest son, a Msgt in the Air Force, leaves the end of this week for 3 years in Germany. He and his oldest son celebrate their birthdays this week, too. Sadie's a handful. She does need to be worked with a lot. Wish my time wasn't so limited. Looking forward to the day when I can have more time with her. She deserves it. Sassy Miss Sadie's doing good. She's keeping her fly mask on, but has torn holes in it. I dumped her water trough out to clean it and found her old fly mask in it, again. While I filled the trough with fresh water, she blew bubbles in it. So silly. Heat's hitting triple degrees next week. Time to buy another misting system. Big hi to all. Jessica came out Wednesday with her boyfriend, David. Sadie was bad. While Jessica picked her hooves, Sadie yanked her back hoof away. She bucked a couple of times, too, when Jessica rode her. She did okay with me. The strap on the saddle pinched a bruise on the inside of my left knee. Shouldn't have worn shorts. Found the missing fly mask, too. Jessica and I dumped Sadie's water trough to clean it out, and there it was. It had sunk to the bottom of the trough. I didn't think to check there.
