Ahh our first year here, the horses unplugged the heater and dragged it around to play with and I couldn't find anything to break the ice...so I used my foot. That definitely WAS NOT my brightest idea. Broke the ice fine but wet foot in - temps....well it makes you quite cold. Hope you get some heaters! Voted. Come visit me, Grace.

oo so sorry for your night - at least he didnt get hurt - hope u had fun fixing fences
hagen checked up well today - they rewrapped his leg and it looked alot better - his skin has started to stick to his leg again - he is very tired of being locked up though - he has to go back on mon to get it looked at again and then maybe 3 more days in stall and be let out then - poor thing he is soo tired of being in there but only a couple more days - hope everyone has a good weekend

we had a crazy night last night - i got off of work and my boyfriend called me and told me he was going to get the trailer because hagen had hurt his leg - - i get there and he had two deep gashes in from his knee to his fetlock - all the skin was pulled back and he couldnt walk - - we got him to the vet and was afraid that he had torn his flexor tender which is very very very bad (we would have been going to Georgia) but luckly he didnt - they wrapped him up and gave him lots of med and he has to be stalled till frid. then going back to the vet to get re wrapped and check again --

Oh I feel blessed that we bought heaters for our water troughs!!! now chipping is minimal....-.- dang horses find it fun to unplug the heaters or pull them out and drop them in the snow. Doesn't matter that they have toys! they just love playing with the dang heaters.

Happy Thursday!
So today Mr. Baxter won HOTD, which I wasnt even trying for, so it was a very pleasant surprise when I logged in this morning! Two days in a row my precious babies have won HOTD! Yesterday I went out and rode Tianna for a "victory ride" but unfortunately I cant do that with baxter today, as I have a family get together to attend tonight. (I'd rather be riding!) Tianna and I had a lovely ride, we rode with one of our boarders, so we had the whole dressage/western contrast going in the ring :) I did canter a little bit yesterday, but I still have to be careful until the end of the month when I am clear to get back to my life from the bout of mono. Anyways, I hope everyone has had an excellent first week of 2011! Just remember, tomorrow is friday, and then the weekend!
