Type of Riding: English; jumping, dressage and once the cross-country course is up I'll be doing that to. Also trails and games in the summer along with horse camps (if we can afford them which we probably can't)
My Horse's Achievements: he is cute and a half, he can jump 3 feet maybe more i haven't tried, he is the best friend i could hope for there's this game we play with some of the other teens and there ponies were we get the horses to want to be are hang out with us instead of the other horses in the arena (its hard to explain) but Arie will come and stand next to me without treats and role over which is a sign of relaxation and trust, also he gets on well with other horses ( er as long as they understand that hes the boss"
My Horse's Favorite Treat: apples! we board him near an orchard and the owners said we could ride the horses over and feed them the fallen fruit.
My Horse's Favorite Things To Do: play games, find ways to escape from his pasture to the one on the other side even though they are identical, learn tricks, eat,
Pet Peeves: his ears being touched, heavy rainstorms, lounge whips ( i don't lounge him), being ridden to long, me feeding or playing with another horse (it sounds like I'm being self absorbed but honestly its kinda annoying)

How We Met
My dad had grown up riding but stopped when he went to school, my moms a vet and I have been taking lessons were ever i could get them since the beginning of time.
Aries was left on the door step 9not technically speaking) of my moms veterinary clinic when he was 1 he had terrible thrush, over grown toenails, bad teeth and was malnourished, my mom took care of him for a while and fell in love with him despite his bad habbit's then one day for Christmas she was holding him on our front lawn with a sign merry x mass tapped to his side with a large chunk out of the corner it the best thing ever to happen. of course as i was only 7 at the time so my dad did a lot of the training but he trained me how to train and i helped him when ever possible.
Me and Arecibo are best friends know and will be so until the day we die..

King Kong was very bad yesterday. King did not want to listen to my brother and my brother's friend wanted to help, so he got on King. While my brother's friend was riding King the horse reared and they fell back. He is ok, only suffered whiplash and soreness. We don't know what got into King. When he reared, there was no bit pressure at all. So he could have moved in any direction and he chose up :(
Fancy was very good. My son has ridden her. He has gotten bored riding in the corral, so we walk around the block and through the car wash. My son loves to ride her. He would like me to turn him lose. But I don't think Fancy or my son are ready for that. Because she is still very young and I know my son does not have experience in case something did frighten her. But so far she has been so wonderful on his rides out. I don't take that for granted and I pray that she remains steady.

I tried the bareback mounting again yesterday. Didn't work out. So I used the tractor tire again. Once mounted, Fancy listened very well. We walked around in the corral and even did some leg yields. It was so much fun!

HEALTH ALERT !!! **
I just got an e.mail from ACTHA saying they were rescheduling the World Record Ride for the Mustangs because of an out break of EHV-1 in 6 Western states. I looked it up, the states affected so far are Arizona, Utah, California, Idaho, Washington and Colorado. The infected horses had all attended a National Cutting Horse Assoc. show in Utah in early May. Several horses have already been euthanized. Mine get vaccinated yearly but I just called my vet to see how effective the vaccine is. She said no vaccine is 100% effective and recommended a booster shot 6 mo. after the initial dose just to be on the safe side. Please help me spread the word on HC as there are many members from the west. Please be careful. lotsalov D&J

A good Saturday morning vote from Fancy. I had better hurry, I have to leave in a few hours.
This fairy tale starts with Once upon a Fancy...
There was a little filly born to live wild with her mommy in the Virginia fields. One day a sad & horseless lady slid into the driveway with a trailer in tow, almost missed the driveway. (LOL)
That lady was amazed by this fuzzy filly and took her home right away. The lady cared for the filly and nourished her with love. They become partners for life.
One day the lady found HorseChannel.com and she was very curious. After a few days passed she joined HC! WOW! What a wonderful internet site filled with the greatest horse loving people she would ever have the pleasure of meeting! Now that little filly, FANCY and that lady have the greatest horsey friends ever, and they are very happy members of HorseChannel. com!!!!!!!!!

voted:) I am sorry I am not able to blog and vote like I want to right now. I will be back online full time soon as my Mom comes home and is able to do things again. I am at home this evening, I won't be back at the hospital tonight. My Mom is holding the same. I am so thankful for your prayers for her.
My poor Fancy is also stressed for time. I went out to worm her and she was so sweet. She took her wormer like a big girl and I petted her a little. When I was leaving I left the end of my lead rope on the ground inside of the gate. Fancy walked over to the lead rope and stood on the end of it and looked at me. I tell you this little filly was trying to tell me something. I had to explain to her why I had not been with her much lately. Then I asked her to step off the lead rope so I could go in and cook food for our human family. Fancy understood me, just like I understand her. She stepped off the rope and let me give her a good night pat, then she watched until I went inside.

Thanks :) cute horse! How high do you guys jump? Ok this is probably the dumbest question! But i've never had a Norwegion Fjord, or ever been around them. But do you have to cut their manes to look like that, or do they just do that naturally? haha Come visit me, Connect the Dots.

Here's a Christmas snow vote from my snowbird Fancy♥
HOTD, new saddle and getting your cast off, Girl, you have it going on!!! I hope you do get that cast off today and enjoy your new saddle! I like riding in the snow, but I really wish I had someone to ride with. It would make getting the cold feet a lot more fun. LOL! We had fun anyway.

Great day to all and a peaceful night with a vote from Fancy♥ We hope you have enjoyed a wonderful Christmas with family, friends, and pets:) Isn't all the snow such a lovely gift from above. If it has snowed at your house, enjoy it before it melts and turns to mudd. Fancy and Bindi have been very busy little girls today. Fancy enjoyed her first snow ride ever today. She didn't mind the snow one bit. She wanted to go, go, go! Bindi got lose and mauled a poor squirrel and we don't even know how she got lose. This was the first time she didn't run away when she had the chance. I was very proud of Bindi for staying in our yard.
