How We Met

Last spring I needed a new horse very badly. I had my old 20 year old mare, Snickers, who had arthritis in her knee and couldn't handle being ridden as much as I ride. I also had my unbroke two year old that had a injury to her knee. She had a bunch of fluid in her knee and we had to get a tube put threw it. My mom, sister, and I had been looking for a horse for me and we hadn't made much progress. I needed a horse fast because signing up horses for county fair was almost over. My sister came home and said that she stopped by somebodies house and they had some horses for sale. We went to look at them and I rode a old gelding. We decided that he was to choppy and wouldn't work good showing. The other horse he had for sale was a 2 year old that looked almost exactly like Sunny. My sister rode her and said that I wouldn't be ready for her. When we were unsaddleing the horses I saw Sunny. She was up by the fence waiting for attention. The guy said we could try her but she would be more than the other horses. We did and ended up taking her home the next day, but we didn't own her. We had made a deal with the guy that we would pay some money and lease her for the summer and if he wanted her back he would pay us back, but if we got to keep her we would have to pay more money. She worked out great and we ended up getting to keep her!! Now she is my baby!!.
